This project is special. The owners of the apartment — a married couple with three children — are fond of feng shui. Therefore, all items had to be placed in their "correct" places. This, first of all, concerned plumbing, tables and beds and greatly complicated the elaboration of the layout. In addition to the main functional areas, we needed to organize a separate room for each child and two offices for parents. It wasn't easy, but we managed.

The customers wanted the interior to be designed in calm tones, so it was decided to make a classic base in shades of beige and gray and complement it with bright accents in the form of carpets, art objects and decor.

The construction work coincided with well-known events in the country, which could cause problems with the delivery of furniture from abroad. We decided to use items from local manufacturers, with the exception of only lamps. Everything else is made in Russia. Customers treat Russian object design with special trepidation, so there are a lot of things bought at auctions and exhibitions in the apartment. This is my special pride.

In the living room, the main attention is focused on a ceramic round panel, invented by Olga Ashby, and a chest of drawers from the collection of designer Polina Pidtsan. On the wall next to it hangs a handmade tapestry by Daria Blokhina, which we found at the Artdom exhibition. The customer fell in love with him at first sight, and he fit perfectly into our interior.

Also, the living room is decorated with a composition of coffee tables from designer Evgenia Shilova. We also bought them at the exhibition of object design. The bases of the tables are made of solid beech under tinting, and the countertops are covered with liquid concrete. An excellent combination of aesthetics and practicality.
Another sample of Russian object design is located in the office. They became Anton Merkulov's chair, which also immediately conquered us.

Separately, I would like to tell the story of the creation of panels with Chinese characters. We were engaged in the selection of dishes for the project, and the decorator turned out to be an art critic who studied Chinese culture. When she found out that the customers were interested in Eastern philosophy, she gave them three papyri with poems by a Chinese author. We framed them with brass, and we got an original panel that took up almost the entire wall.
