This apartment is a gift from a loving son to his mother. He wanted the interior to reflect her character, so the hostess actively participated in the work of designers Ksenia Mezentseva and Yulia Krasavtseva on the project and was very pleased with the result

The owner of the apartment — a young and active woman of sixty years — wanted a "juicy" interior that would be filled with things dear to her heart, brought from trips. She actively participated in the work on the project, so the interior is largely a reflection of her personality, as well as the apartment itself — it is very bright and sunny. There are seven windows in it!

"In the living room, one of the walls of the exterior facade formed a semicircular corner, which we wanted to hide by aligning the geometry of the room. But the client asked to keep it"

The apartment is not just sunny — it looks as if it is always late spring or early summer outside the windows, when the foliage on the trees is bright green and fresh, and the sky is light blue. This effect is created by the palette chosen by the owner of the apartment — she wanted to see the colors of the forest in her interior.
"Moss and juniper were our original references," says Ksenia Mezentseva. It was these "forest" images that suggested the tones of the blue bedroom and the deep saturated kitchen.

"We are proud of the courage and openness of our customer. Not everyone will agree to paint the bedroom walls in deep blue," the authors of the project admit. Although this color is very well suited for the bedroom — a dark blue shade relaxes and soothes.

The curtains in the bedroom appeared at the last moment. According to the project, they were supposed to be the color of cranberries with birds of paradise. "We already had a fabric selected and approved," says Ksenia Mezentseva, "but after a trip to the south of Italy, our customer, seeing a fabric with large juicy lemons in the catalog, fell in love with them so much that at the last moment the curtains had to be changed."

The interior turned out to be harmonious, having decided at the very beginning with the concept — moderate minimalism, natural blue-green tones, a large amount of natural wood — the customer did not retreat from it. But by the end of the renovation, which lasted a year, she had a desire to add a little red to the palette — in the bedroom or maybe in the bathroom.
"Red seduced and scared away at the same time," the authors of the project recall. — As a result, we have a red chest of drawers in the hallway, which, on the one hand, meets you at the entrance to the house and is remembered, and on the other — does not violate the overall picture."

By the end of the renovation, the landlady of the apartment had a desire to add red to the palette. So a cranberry chest of drawers appeared in the hallway, supporting the "forest" theme.
