The main idea of the project is to create a cozy space for a harmonious life of a young family with two children

In the description of this project, the number "2" will be repeated repeatedly. The project was done by two designers who sometimes team up because they like to work together. The customers bought two apartments to combine them into one. They have two daughters, and in the process of discussing the future of the interior, it turned out that children and adults see it differently. Adults wanted restraint and natural shades, children — pink castles in the air with unicorns. To make friends with such different wishes, designers Dina Dymnikova and Olga Sanday decided to divide the space into two blocks — the main and children's. Each of them has its own laws.

The "adult" part of the apartment is a combined kitchen—dining room, a living room, a parent bedroom with its own dressing room and bathroom. When designing these rooms, the authors of the project started from the wishes of customers to add wood and deep green shades to the decoration. Doors, cabinets, part of the kitchen facades, as well as dressing rooms are finished with walnut veneer. All cabinet furniture and doors are made to order according to the sketches of the authors of the project.
The design of the main part of the apartment is laconic, the emphasis is on a combination of wood, brass and milk-colored walls. In the kitchen, all the basic appliances and spacious storage cabinets were hidden in a single veneered facade, diluting it with a brass-colored niche. Behind this "wall" of veneer hides the children's block of the apartment, where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom for girls, which differ in color and style from the "adult" part.

The designers decided to abandon the veneered upper facades in order to lighten the kitchen a little and visually connect it with the living room. Quartzite with silver veins, which is decorated with a wall, as if gathers all the shades and textures together.

Almost all the furniture in this apartment was invented by the authors of the project and made to order. They call the headboard in the master bedroom their special love, adding that the entire project team, including customers, was in love with the color and shape of the headboard.

The references sent by the customers were dominated by veneer and emerald velvet. In the bedroom, the emerald color is presented in all shades, but the veneer is added very delicately — the door slopes and the dressing room are finished with wood. "It was important for us to leave the space bright," the designers explain. A bronze mirror adds a warm shade to the bedroom interior and zones the dressing table.

The children's block lives according to its own laws — pink color and airy arches prevail here. "We were very strict about the equal proportions of marshmallow-princess in the nursery," the authors of the project admit, "since there was a comparison and control on the part of the girls."

It will be difficult to compare two children's, and even more so to call one more "princely". Each has its own zone of attraction. In one — a desk near a huge corner window to the world and a pink sofa, which is so nice to climb with a book; in the other — a two-story bed with a ladder and a cave at the bottom, where, it seems, the unicorn lives, from which it all began.

You can immediately see that two princesses live in this house, and each has its own idea of the beautiful. And these are not just words — the girls, as the designers say, participated in the coordination of their rooms on an equal basis with adults.
