Bergman Studio & Co designed the interiors of the new Dame Bar in Melbourne, drawing inspiration from the fictional image of a woman of the 1980s

In Melbourne, a new Dame bar with a bright interior inspired by the 1980s era has opened in the Collins Place complex, located in the fashionable East End district. The local design studio Bergman & Co. was responsible for it. "Our concept was based on a certain image of a woman of the 1980s - confident and attractive. Upholstered furniture also refers to this era," explains the founder of the studio Wendy Bergman (Wendy Bergman).

Curtains separate the bar space from other areas of the complex.

The interior of the Dame bar is made in pink-lingonberry shades. Shimmering curtains made of airy fabric that separate the bar from other spaces of the complex, marble tables and a curved bar counter, echoing chairs, benches around the perimeter of the bar - all this creates a feeling of lightness and sophistication, which is emphasized by chairs with wicker backs and tables made of dark walnut. It is noteworthy that the designers of Bergman & They not only came up with the female image that inspired them, but also brought it to life. Melbourne artist Stacey Rees painted a "woman of the 1980s", and now her portrait hangs behind the bar.

The high bar tables have legs made of glass blocks — this is a reference to the architecture of the building where the bar is located.
