A restaurant in Saudi Arabia with geometric decor

Working on the project of the new restaurant, AZAZ Architects drew inspiration from the traditional street establishments of the Middle East — "bofiyah"

Usually, "bofiya" in Saudi Arabia is called a street eatery, where simple and inexpensive dishes of Arabic cuisine are served. This kind of establishment became the starting point for the designers of the AZAZ Architects studio in working on the project of the new Bofia restaurant in Riyadh - with only one difference: visitors to this establishment will not have to eat on the run and will want to stay here for a long time.

The restaurant is located in one of the central districts of the city in a modern building with an expressive geometric facade. Strict geometry continues inside the institution. The walls and floors of the room are decorated with square white tiles, which are complemented by a "ribbon" of dark gray stone, which then runs along the ceiling, then wraps around the showcase and, going down, turns into semicircular partitions separating the soft seating areas.

A similar dynamic is given to the space by an unusual lamp made of tubes, which meanders along the entire room of the Bofia restaurant. Soft landing zones look like a bright spot against the background of gray-white monochrome space. The low sofas on which it is customary to sit "in Turkish" are trimmed with brown-red leather.
