This is the fourth time we have been cooperating with the project's customers, so it was easy to work. They wanted to create a modern and calm interior in which the main character will be a tree, but they did not want the house to look like a chalet or a log cabin. Another important wish was an American-style kitchen. I found it interesting to combine the features of an American country house and a Russian dacha, especially since they have a lot in common. American cabins, wooden holiday houses, are very similar to our country houses — they have an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and pleasant simplicity. I wanted to convey this mood.

The layout was already developed by the architect of the house and completely satisfied the customers. However, we were confused by the size of the living room and the location of the fireplace — it was not possible to build the furniture correctly on its axis. Therefore, we decided to divide the space into two parts: the sofas were located next to the furnace, and the armchairs took a place opposite the huge windows that overlook the forest.

I wanted to create a soft, "enveloping" interior, so I avoided contrasts and played with nuances of shades. The main star of the interior was a tree. We tried to emphasize its warmth, nobility and naturalness. In general, we preferred natural, sometimes raw and rough textures, reminiscent of summer and summer. This idea is supported by simple, chopped furniture shapes and natural-themed decor.

There are a lot of custom-made items in the house according to my project, for example, a coffee table and bookshelves in the living room, bedside tables and cabinets in the bedrooms, as well as mirrors in the bathrooms. However, my favorite element of the interior were two tapestries that I brought in a suitcase from America. And although they abstractly depict Utah landscapes, they fit perfectly into the interior of a Russian house.
