Apartment 101 m2 in the center of Moscow: Victoria Vlasova's project

Designer Victoria Vlasova has created an interior in which there is not a single corridor, and due to the thoughtful use of mirrors, the effect of expanding the space arises

Designer Victoria Vlasova suggested that customers abandon the corridors and boldly use mirrors to create the effect of space going to infinity. The result is a noble and at the same time cozy interior, in which every centimeter of usable area is involved.

"I got an empty concrete space with a couple of columns," says designer Victoria Vlasova. — In order to use it as efficiently as possible, I proposed to completely abandon the corridors. At the same time, on an area of 101 m2, it was possible to place ten full-fledged rooms: the front area of the living room-kitchen-dining room, a bedroom, a guest bedroom, an office, two bathrooms, a wardrobe, an entrance hall and a hall."

There are many mirrors in the interior design. With this technique, the designer managed to beat the space in an interesting way, to give the rooms additional volume and noble shine. 

The living room is located in a single space with the kitchen-dining room, but functionally separated from it by an arch-portal with built-in showcases.

The kitchen furniture was made to order in the same style as the built-in wardrobe in the living room, and seems to be its continuation. The graphite mirror used in the lining of the kitchen apron creates an interesting perspective effect. "I couldn't find a decent dining table of the right size, and since the customers wanted the key pieces of furniture to be certainly Western—made, I designed the table myself and put it into production at the American furniture factory Jonathan Charles," continues Victoria Vlasova.

"For me, the most important thing in this project is a well—thought—out layout and furniture, which is designed in such a way as to solve a lot of technical and aesthetic problems," says Victoria Vlasova. — I paid special attention to the coloristic solution. The rooms are quite bright, but at the same time they are designed in a single key, which you continuously feel when you move from one room to another. All this creates a harmonious mood of the interior."

In the project of Victoria Vlasova, mirrors are used as wall panels, finishing the doors of built-in wardrobes and for lining a decorative fireplace, as a result of which the rooms are filled with light in any weather.
