"Customers live in the Far East, and stay in a Moscow apartment during visits to the capital. We have known the owners for a long time: this is our third joint project, so we approved the concept in just a minute. During their work, they visited the apartment only twice: when they took it from the developer, and when they came to evaluate the already finished interior. I managed to see their first vivid emotions — they were very pleased with the result," says designer Ksenia Bataeva.

"The apartment was rented in the form of a concrete box. When creating the layout, we focused on the load-bearing structures in the piers between the windows, which defined the boundaries of the premises. On an area of 77 sq.m, we have placed a kitchen-living room, a master bedroom with its own bathroom and dressing room, as well as a guest room. The second dressing room with a laundry area is located in the back of the apartment, you can get into it from the corridor. The second bathroom with a shower compartment is located closer to the hallway."

"All the design techniques we have used work to create a single holistic image. Finishing materials move from room to room. To finish the floor, we used porcelain stoneware, which is indistinguishable from natural wood, especially in the "herringbone" laying. The walls were decorated with light gray plaster under concrete with a barely noticeable texture. The facades of the built-in cabinets are covered with the same plaster."

"The customer is fond of embroidery and appreciates handmade items, so it was important to her that the textures used were pleasant to the touch. So in the interior there was a porcelain stoneware with a 3D effect, a countertop in walnut veneer and curtains made of natural linen. Once I even flew to the Far East with samples of materials so that the hostess could personally inspect them and touch the surfaces."

"In addition, there are "chips" in the interior, which we repeat from project to project. One of our favorite techniques is a suspended kitchen without overhead cabinets. No one knows about this, but a robot vacuum cleaner is "parked" under the kitchen - a utilitarian object for which you always need to look for a suitable place. We also made a "floating" dining table that rests on a glass leg."

"Visually simple, minimalistic projects without unnecessary decor are always the most difficult to implement, because every detail matters. We paid a lot of attention to the little things: we installed hidden doors of non-standard height, organized a master bathroom without a slope of the floor and thresholds, decorated the interior of the cabinets for linen. It is they who ultimately form the status of the interior."
