The apartment in the house of the 1930s on Bolshaya Dmitrovka was uninhabited for a long time. It was used as an executive room with armored windows, a walled-up balcony door, suspended ceilings, semicircular walls and other attributes of the 1990s renovation

In search of samples of historical stucco and window designs, Tatiana and Pavel looked into neighboring entrances and miraculously survived old windows. Without setting a goal to make a complete historical reconstruction, they tried to create a sense of the interior with history.

"It's as if people have been living in it all this time," Tatiana clarifies. — Modular parquet was made of oak — like in old Moscow houses. Replace it with a nut and you will immediately get an American accent. Please note that the color of the floor goes into the baseboard and then into the door frames, creating a contrasting contour."

The customer likes the idea of creating a single space in a residential area. Therefore, in an apartment with an area of 92 square meters, almost all the doors are glass. Even the bedroom adjacent to the living room was no exception. Doors with glazed windows and transoms to the ceiling in the spirit of the 1930s are made according to the sketches of architects.

Especially for the bedroom, they created a panel, in the pixel drawing of which the silhouettes of "Skiers" from the painting by A.A. Deineka in 1926 are visible.

"The owner has excellent taste. Some of the items are a tribute to his love of American classics, something is made to order, vintage brought from Italy. In combination with objects of modern design, they create the effect of a habitable space.

The terrace at the kitchen was laid out with terracotta tiles in the spirit of Italian courtyards. Here the owner is happy to grow flowers and parsley. Parquet, Finex.

And if at the beginning of the work the customer was afraid of saturated colors, then in the end he preferred the brightest of all the proposed options. The final shades for the walls were chosen already at the construction site, when everything was ready. This is a very delicate point.
