Alice Basova created this interior for a bachelor, but with the prospect of increasing his family in the future. As a result, the customer moved into the apartment already with a girl and a dog

GENERAL PARAMETERSProperty type: apartment in a new building
Where is located: Moscow
Square footage: 72 m2
**Style:**modern
The main idea of the project: a modern space for a single man, meeting the needs of a young family in the future
Color scheme: white, gray, blue, oak veneer
The author of the project: architect Alice Basova, https://t.me/alisabasova
First, Alice was approached by the customer's mother, with a request to take her son's apartment to work. "I usually work with a client who is familiar with my approach and implemented projects, who initially trusts me," she says, "so I was a little doubtful, but when we met with the customer, we agreed that interaction and coordination would be directly with him, without consultation with the family. This is an important argument, because it would be difficult to please everyone."

From a two-room apartment, we managed to make a three-room apartment, as the customer wanted

Living room, fragment. The Oop's rice paper lamp designed by Ingo Maurer is the most interesting element of the interior. "He is as simple as he is brilliant. The client put an RGBW bulb in it, and the light can fill the living room with color according to the mood. A kind of Chromotherapy," says Alice Basova.

"I love layouts," Alice admits, "I like this part of the work the most." From a two-room apartment turned into a three-room one, while the kitchen and bathroom remained within their borders, and in place of the bathroom they placed a technical area with a sink for washing the dog's paws, a water heater, collectors, meters, an electric shield, a washing machine and a dryer, hiding everything behind sliding glass doors. The bedroom is located closest to the entrance, but is closed from it by a wardrobe and at the same time furthest from the nursery and living room, which is very comfortable for privacy.

The living room is combined with the kitchen, but the kitchen area is not visible from the sofa. It turned out to be small, so in order to leave "air", the designer chose a round table with a diameter of only 90 cm and transparent chairs for it. At the same time, ergonomically, all distances are taken into account.

"The bedroom is quite dark. I like to design dark bedrooms, as my personal experience shows, it's much sweeter to sleep in them," Alice explains. The bedroom has a small wardrobe behind a hidden door.

A concrete ceiling was left in the entire public area, covering it with a matte varnish on the stone. Thus, the height of three meters was preserved and the zones were delimited. All doors with a transom above them, at first this idea was proposed by the designer only for the bathroom, but the customer liked it and decided to do so in all rooms.

Next to the living room there is a children's room (it is also an office and a guest room) with an inaccurate function, so it is neutral and graphic in design. It has a work desk, a sofa bed, a wardrobe, a bedside table and a TV. "Everything necessary to close all possible functions," says Alice, "while it is not too strict to be a nursery, and not too childish to be a study. And the work of Yakov Khomich, which was brought to the shooting by stylist Daria Ishkaraeva, fit perfectly there."

The blue color, which runs in a thin line throughout the apartment, appeared by chance: the entrance door to the apartment is blue from the outside and it is also visible inside. It was impossible to change the door, so the shade of blue was allowed with an unobtrusive ribbon through the entire interior. A shelving in this color appeared in the public area, a headboard in the bedroom, a sofa in the children's room, a shelf by the bedside table in the bathroom and vintage sconces accidentally found at the very last moment. The composition perfectly fits the art in the same shades. "Now it seems to me that it was originally intended to add a soothing blue color,— Alice shares. "It helps to cope with anxiety, anxiety, various fears and experiences."

The bathroom is white with accents of wood and blue and with RGB lighting. Soft blue light helps to wake up in the morning, and shades of red or green help to relax in the evening, lying in the bath.
In general, different lighting scenarios are provided for the entire apartment, but everywhere the light is at the same temperature of 3000K, the most comfortable for life. "Contractors often put 4000K on LED backlights and technical lamps by default," Alice suggests, "but it's better to use this temperature in public interiors."

The bathroom can change color.

There is nothing superfluous in sight in the hallway: a mirror, a bench, a wardrobe for storing outerwear and shoes. At the same time, natural light from the living room enters it, as if inviting you to enter the house — this effect occurs due to an open public space without doors. But at the same time, the living room is covered from the entrance area by a hall, a buffer zone, with a shelf for books and vases.

At the entrance, a technical area and a laundry room are hidden behind sliding doors. There is also a small sink so that you can wash the dog's paws or shoes in the hallway, and not in the bathroom.
