In a typical two-bedroom apartment, it was possible to distribute the space exactly as the customers wanted, there was room for two full-fledged private rooms and a common area in the apartment. Pleasant-looking pastel shades, artistic frescoes and bright accents brought sophistication and a soothing atmosphere to the interior.

The customer and her adult daughter set a difficult task for the designer. In a standard two-room apartment in a panel house of the P-44T series, each of the clients wanted to have a personal space with its own functionality. The hostess often works at home, the daughter, on the contrary, works in the office. Therefore, in one room it was necessary to equip a bedroom and an office, in the other a living room and a bedroom. The kitchen was reserved for communication.

Redevelopment
The implementation of the project was complicated by the standard layout. All interior partitions are load-bearing, they cannot be moved. However, the configuration of the premises and the designer's experience made it possible to realize all the wishes of customers. A larger room was given to my daughter, dividing the volume into a living room for relaxing and meeting with friends and a bedroom. The smaller room was occupied by the hostess. A full-fledged study is organized in the loggia attached to her room. (Redevelopment agreed.) The common space starts in the hallway and flows into the kitchen.

Repair
The work began with the dismantling of the balcony door leading to the loggia from the customer's room. To equip a full-fledged office, the floor, walls and ceiling were insulated with sheets of expanded polystyrene, new glazing was installed with improved heat-saving characteristics, and an electric underfloor heating was made.
The floor screed was brought to an ideal finish with a self-leveling mixture. An engineering board was put in the living rooms and the corridor, and tiles were placed in the rest of the rooms.

The plasterboard ceiling on a metal frame helped to hide the curtain rods and dilute the electrical wiring. The walls were leveled for painting. Spectacular accents on the walls in the form of a misty forest and graphic leaves are created using seamless fresco technology.
Design
The references helped to determine the design of Scandinavian aesthetics with elements of modern style. At the same time, the customer was impressed by the color palette with the dominance of gray and blue tones, and her daughter was impressed by warm shades: pink, brown, cream.

The love of the plant theme turned out to be common. The connecting elements of two rooms of different colors were rack inserts. In the daughter's room, the living room and bedroom area are separated by a light rack partition, on which a TV panel is fixed. Since the rooms are small and adjacent, the colors and finishes are uniform.

The relaxing atmosphere of the living room is created with the help of calm, dusty, nuanced shades and floral motifs of the fresco. It is based on a drawing. The feature of vector graphics is the ability to scale without loss of quality. Flooring, baseboards, furniture elements and accessories made of natural wood, as well as indoor plants harmoniously complement the environmentally oriented interior. Details bring individuality: a carpet with color accents in the living room, a bright plaid and decorative pillows with a chevron print.

The landscape of the misty forest behind the headboard of the bed in the hostess's bedroom is a modern fresco printed on a seamless non-woven base and pasted on the wall. The quality (resolution) of the photo chosen by the customer was not enough to create such a large-scale canvas, and the artist manually brought the digital image to perfection.

The wall in the study is decorated with ceramics with the face of opera diva Lina Cavalieri, the muse of the cult designer of the last century Piero Fornasetti. The maestro used this image in different variations in furniture, ceramics, painting.

In the bathroom, behind the sink, they placed a full-length mirror with built-in LED lighting in the form of a square frame (like a make-up mirror).

In the hallway, the walls and interior doors (in hidden boxes) are finished with decorative plaster, which made it possible to avoid unnecessary fragmentation of space. The long passage was visually shortened with the help of mirror inserts and a bright abstract painting.

Designer Andrey Bubnov, Descartes Design Studio, author of the project
From the very beginning, communication with customers was based on full mutual trust and understanding, so all our ideas were approved easily and immediately. As a result, there was an interior that really revealed the potential of the apartment and satisfied all the wishes and preferences of the owners. The most favorite place of the family was the kitchen, which serves as a common living room. We tried to "dissolve" the furniture in the space, deliberately abandoning the upper cabinets. A high apron made of stone, plaster panels, a cozy sofa and a round table make the room not only functional, but also have a joint pastime. As for the storage locations, there are enough of them to accommodate everything you need. In addition, there is a spacious utility area in the hallway next door, and both rooms have comfortable closets. Another wardrobe (for outerwear) is located at the entrance.
