The four-room apartment is located in a panel house. For an architect-designer, working with such an object is always a difficult task, because it will not be possible to make a global redevelopment in a panel house. "But we were able to make the necessary adjustments to create a comfortable space for the family," says designer Tatiana Mantsevich.

The apartment was divided into two "wings", east and west. The eastern one has an entrance hall, a kitchen—living room, a children's room and a bathroom. The western one has a bedroom, an office, a dressing room and a parent bathroom. The "wings" are united by a passage-gallery.

In the living room, the main role is assigned to the picture of Kirill Orsik "Continuation". On the opposite wall there is a TV zone designed with a sufficiently saturated shape. So that she does not argue and does not outweigh the picture, she was executed in monochrome (even the slats are painted gray).

The hostess wanted to see a wall tile with bright lemon accents in the apartment. This became the starting point for creating the color palette of the interior. "I decided to use a neutral base: white and gray (all the walls in the apartment are painted in these two colors), parquet in a shade of natural oak and floor granite "for concrete," explains the designer. - On this monochrome background, we placed colored accents: lemon, indigo, warm sand."

The same tile with a pair of cooing birds (black and lemon), which sunk into the soul of the landlady of the apartment, eventually got on the kitchen apron: who would have thought that it was here, in the kitchen, that one should look for the key to the whole interior!

The owners of the house fell in love with the works of Kirill Orsik at first sight, so the artist's paintings are now present in all rooms. "At one of the meetings, I showed them Kirill's paintings that I was selecting for my other project — and they immediately decided to go to the artist's studio to see his work live. And there was no stopping them there: we selected about eight works for fitting, and the customers also lamented that we left "too few free walls" for art."

Cabinet furniture was designed specifically for this interior in order to use the right colors and shapes. The shelving in the nursery is one of such unique items made to order. It seems to pass through the wall and continues on the loggia, visually connecting these two rooms and enlarging the children's room.

The rack is designed so that at its end near each sleeping place of a bunk bed there is a storage corner (a kind of bedside table).

Initially, there were quite a lot of arched openings in the layout. "Since the house is panel, we could not change their configuration, and it was decided to frame them with white portals, to create a thin graphic contour," explains the designer.

Neutral base and bright accents — this became the basis of the interior concept. A new combination of selected colors was found for each room: white, gray, indigo, lemon and sand. Pink and purple shades were introduced in the decor and textile design.

"Despite the diverse tasks in each room and the unusual color scheme, we managed to create a surprisingly solid interior in color and shapes," comments the author of the project.
