The customers, a young couple, fondly remember New York, an apartment in Moscow was chosen with the expectation that the view from the window would remind them of a city that never sleeps. These impressions were reflected in the interior: it is built on the contrast of light and dark, like many New York apartments.
"Customers wanted a dark kitchen in the ceiling, as well as an island and a dining table. Since the area was limited, we combined them into one element," recalls the author of the project, designer Elena Sidorina.

In addition to the kitchen-living room and bedroom, customers needed a separate office, which in the future could be turned into a nursery without much expense, as well as a dressing room and two bathrooms. Elena Sidorina traditionally divided the apartment into two parts, common and private. The common area opens to the eye immediately outside the threshold, the private one is located on the left hand and is hidden from prying eyes.

The most interesting element of the kitchen-living room is an island in the kitchen, which turns into a dining table with a glass support. The whole structure looks light and architecturally. But the center of attraction here is not objects, but a panoramic view of Moscow. To focus attention on it, the designer made a long landing zone on the windowsill. There are no curtains on the windows — only blinds that scatter light.

The designer combined two different functional parts of the kitchen-living room with the help of decorative techniques: for example, the wall behind the TV console is partially finished with marble granite, which is also used for the design of the kitchen apron. The flutes on the doors of suspended kitchen cabinets are supported by the relief of the TV console.

In the bedroom, the wall behind the headboard is highlighted with an elegant green shade, asymmetrical Aromas del Campo lamps add a touch of coquetry, the area with the work desk is highlighted in graphite color. Next to the window in the niche there is a bookcase and, by analogy with the living room, there is a soft seating area near the window to read on autumn evenings with a view of the city.

In the hallway, two walls were painted in a muted green shade and thus visually separated the entrance area from the living room. A large mirror expands the space, and the console becomes weightless against its background.

The color scheme of the interior was formed based on the wishes of customers, but when they once came to the construction site with their four-legged pet, the designer realized that his interests were also taken into account. The chocolate-colored French bulldog looked perfect in all rooms!
