"This is the third apartment that we are doing together with the customer. This time the task sounded like this: to make a space for renting, very practical, using strong and durable materials, so that if something breaks, it can be easily replaced," says designer Igor Kovrigin, Vsrede studio, about this 54-meter apartment located in the center of Sochi, total 6 minutes walk from the sea.

"I wanted to create a place of rest so that people coming here would feel comfortable, so that all materials and colors would create comfort. The apartment is bright, cozy, not overloaded. The main focus is the view from the window to the sea, and the interior helps to reveal it," the designer continues. One of the main problems was the layout — the space is a trapezoid with a panoramic window, so it was decided to abandon the idea of an isolated bedroom.

Household appliances are built into the storage system. The chair is made to order.

"We convinced the customer to make a bedroom with sliding glass partitions. Thus, the kitchen-living room and bedroom became a single space. Despite the small area, it was possible to place even a laundry room with an ironing board, washing machine, linen closets, etc. To create a cozy atmosphere and at the same time, for reasons of practicality, vandal-proof decorative plaster was used. It can be washed, and if it is damaged, it will not be noticeable, since the drawing is rather uneven, chaotic," Igor Kovrigin shares.

The customer liked the result of the studio's work so much that now she doubts whether to rent this apartment or live here herself. And this means that the main goal — to achieve a sense of comfort — has been achieved.
