I worked with a room of almost square shape, without partitions, with two large windows and a high ceiling of 3.10 m. We immediately decided that there was no need to divide the 44 m2 space into two rooms. Customers did not want to constantly rest their eyes on the walls of small rooms. I focused on keeping the air in the space as much as possible and creating opportunities for its transformation to the needs of the owners, depending on the time of day and the specifics of their activities. That is why the bedroom was taken out behind transparent partitions, and they did not hang the bottom row of cabinets in the kitchen, making it look more like a bar area.

At night, the whole apartment turns into a bedroom, during the day — into a coworking, and in the evening — into a salon for receiving guests and friendly parties

Since it was not possible to place a full-fledged dressing room on this area, all storage had to be moved to cabinets. We used every inch of space. Separately, we had to work to ensure that these storage spaces performed their function without cluttering up the rooms. Everything that was possible was lifted on its legs, and an art object was made out of the closet in the living room, and even a bed with a lifting mechanism and a storage box was ordered for the bedroom.

The bedroom is separated by a glass partition, Metal Made. The bed is made to order.

Window sills and slopes were finished with veneered panels, which serve for additional thermal insulation. Their height and width allow you to comfortably sit in this improvised recreation area with a book, laptop or a glass of wine.

Starting to work on the object, I accidentally stumbled upon the Nude work of Ksenia Berezovskaya. We can say that in the future everything was built around this picture — it was the very accent that united the entire interior.

Sink, Burlington. The shelf above the sink is decorated with natural marble.

I decided to leave the floor slabs in part of the apartment in their original form — in order to save money, but also because this technique allowed me to beat the "box in a box" effect. I like the philosophy he broadcasts. Concrete is a kind of constant or an initial matrix, and everything else is a temporary decoration that you change, supplement and fill according to your worldview. Therefore, in such a space, a Victorian sofa, a mid-century chest of drawers and a wardrobe from the 1990s can simultaneously exist.

The layout of the apartment is 44 m2, designer Irina Shevchenko.
