The country house was conceived as a place to relax for three generations of the family. It was built on the site of an old summer house, which kept many memories of my husband's happy childhood. Therefore, I tried to recreate this cozy atmosphere of a Soviet dacha, preserving vintage furniture and decor elements.

The house is very compact. I organized two small bedrooms, a nursery located on the mezzanine, and a kitchen-living room with a second light. I also made a bathroom with a floor—to-ceiling window, which was not easy for my loved ones to put up with - they still tightly close the curtains. But I am very glad that the family gave me complete freedom of action and, even when someone was confused by my choice, no one objected, and everyone was waiting for the renovation to be completed in order to see the whole interior.

I used a lot of colors and different prints in the interior design. they do not argue among themselves, because they are all connected by a plant theme. Even in the bathroom, we pasted wallpaper with floral ornaments in places where there is no direct access to water. On the kitchen apron, instead of tiles, we used an aged mirror that reflects light from the window, expanding the boundaries of space.

Due to the compact size of the house, almost all the furniture had to be made to order. Only the dining table and chairs in the living room are still Soviet. In the kitchen we made a small pantry, which is hidden behind gray facades. In the bedroom, the cabinets standing on the sides of the bed repeat the design of the interior doors, but are supplemented with inserts of mirrors. The role of bedside tables is performed by niches in the ends of cabinets. The headboard of the bed is upholstered in William Morris fabric with a floral ornament that echoes the wallpaper pattern in the same room.

The mezzanine can be reached by stairs from the kitchen-living room. Children's mattresses lie right on the floor — this creates a special atmosphere of mysterious attic life. On the floor there is a record player with old records.
