"This apartment was intended for the student son of my regular client. The main wish was to create a comfortable layout and comply with the budget framework. Otherwise, the customers gave me complete freedom, which sometimes complicates the work, because there is always a fear of not meeting expectations," says the author of the project.

"The layout is built on the principle of a "shirt". The spacious corridor is equipped with a storage system. Also at the entrance there is a guest bathroom with a shower, a separate laundry room and a bathroom. The kitchen was combined with the living room, and the balcony was insulated to make an office there. The bedroom is located at a distance from the common area, the entrance to the room is organized through the dressing room."

"The apartment is small, so I wanted to let as much light into the space as possible. The interior is designed in monochrome beige, the dynamics are set by ribbed textures and black graphic elements."

"The living room is combined with the kitchen, but at the same time it is always possible to close the doors of ribbed glass, thereby delineating the functional areas. From the living room side, the opening can be closed with a white roller blind with a blackout effect and used as a screen for a projector. In the dining room, there is a full-height mirror on the wall next to the window, which increases the amount of daylight and breaks the geometry of a small space."

"You can go to the bedroom through the wardrobe. To make the room seem bigger, we have separated the dressing room with a glass partition and a translucent curtain, which helps to avoid visual noise. Also, part of the facades of the cabinets is made of tinted glass with a mirror effect."

"Most of all colors appear in the design of bathrooms. The bathroom is decorated with a wardrobe and a pedestal of a rich emerald shade, and the shower room is lined with large-format blue granite."

"The most unusual detail of the interior was a painting by Olga Lobanovskaya. I accidentally saw this work on Olga's Instagram (an extremist organization banned in Russia) and realized that this is what is needed for this project. The two-meter-high canvas depicts a bizarre line that rhymes with a black-and-white pattern on a large-scale carpet."
