"The customer asked me to design an apartment for her mother, where her grandchildren could spend time during the day: a 9-year-old girl and a 16-year-old teenage boy. On an area of 70 sq.m. it was necessary to organize a spacious kitchen-living room where the whole family could gather, a private area for the hostess of the apartment and an additional bedroom for guests," says designer Anna Shimanova.

"The main wish was to keep maximum "air" and space. Thus, a wide opening with sliding doors appeared between the main bedroom and the kitchen-living room, which allow, if desired, to combine the zones with each other. At the same time, we wanted the apartment to reflect its residents, so we decided to make the private part more classic and cozy, and the common space light and modern."

"The color also helps to delimit the zones. Grandma's bedroom and dressing room are painted in a complex berry shade, and the master bathroom is decorated with soft pink tiles. The rest of the apartment is made in a cream color scheme, which we supplemented with cherry accents."

"So that the interior doesn't look too "cloying" and girly, I added steel radiators and a contrasting metal partition between the living room and the guest bedroom. Customers were initially afraid of the phrase "black frame". They imagined something very rude and inappropriate in such a light interior. But I convinced them, and their first words after the installation were: "How great it turned out! Let's add something else like that"".
