"Initially, the apartment had two isolated rooms, a mezzanine and a separate bathroom," says designer Anastasia Brandt. — The task was to make the space as open as possible — the customer loves to receive guests, so it was decided to combine the living room and the corridor. At the same time, the kitchen remained isolated, since it is separated from the living room by a load-bearing wall."

"The customer is a young man, organizes concerts and works with music groups, travels often," he continues Anastasia. —Since this apartment serves for him more as an office and a place to relax with friends, they did not make an isolated bedroom. The function of the bed is performed by a dense floor mattress, which fits perfectly into the storage area in the corridor. And sometimes a hammock."

Living room. The hammock was purchased by the customer in Bali.

"The kitchen has become spacious and functional thanks to the redevelopment. In order to disguise the protruding ventilation unit, they put a refrigerator next to it, having partially buried it in the bathroom."

The layout of the apartment of 40 m2 is a project of Anastasia Brandt.

The table in the kitchen is intentionally made high, "semi-bar" landing. This allows you to admire the beautiful view from the window, push the table onto the windowsill, winning a little free space, and if there are a lot of guests, they can comfortably eat and drink standing up.

"To visually enlarge the space, the floor, walls and ceiling are painted in light colors. The bathroom, on the contrary, is made in a dark color scheme to create a backstage atmosphere."

The designer considers the main thing in any project to make the interior the maximum reflection of its residents. "It is no coincidence that all the guests of this apartment are greeted and escorted by neon mustaches — the trademark of the customer, he even has a tattoo in the form of the same mustache on his neck. Mikhail made it as a sign of support for the movember Foundation, a charitable foundation in support of men's health. Their mission: to stop men dying too young». And, of course, the hammock is the place of power of this apartment. A place reminiscent of Balinese surf spots and summer vacations."
