Designer Angelika Makarevich tells how she managed to make her apartment comfortable and cozy. Spoiler: It took a little redevelopment and a lot of manual work

In addition to the fact that it is interesting to consider (you can see the outlines of different figures or images), it also has practical significance — it hides the sockets provided in case of buying a TV. The table-stand for the large zameokulkas was also made by the designer's hands from mosaic tiles.

The dining area looks like an independent element. All the colors here echo and are tied together. The herringbone print on the fabric of kitchen chairs dilutes the plain textiles in the room.

The apartment had a large ten-meter corridor, a kitchen-living room, a bedroom and separate bathrooms. Cardinal redevelopment was not done, all the walls remained in their places, but the nursery was separated from the kitchen-living room with the help of a glazed partition. A large corridor was also divided with the help of a closet, a small hallway and a dressing room turned out.

The kitchen is interesting for its color scheme and looks very authentic. The countertop does not stand out, as it usually does, but merges with the lower facades. The frosted glass of the upper drawers makes them easier visually.

I wanted to use a simple finish as a background and took it as a basis, which I then filled with interesting pieces of furniture and decor. So the interior has become more flexible. It is easy to change and adjust to yourself in different periods of time or mood.
At the same time, I wanted warmth and visual contrast. To do this, I filled the interior with a large amount of natural wood, black furniture and soft, pleasant textiles. I also added bright red accents, they dilute the monochrome palette and connect the kitchen-living room and the nursery with each other.

I am very proud of all the wooden furniture in this project. The kitchen, cupboards and dressers, tables and chairs, as well as the doors and partition were made of solid oak and ash by my father's hands according to my sketches. In his small workshop, he creates extraordinary objects filled with special warmth and energy. I am very grateful to him, it is really important to me.

In the nursery, a good solution was to organize a table combined with a window sill. This saves a lot of space. I have provided a high chair for the table, since the table top in this case is higher than the standard one.

In order to get as much light as possible into the corridor and the kitchen-living room, we dismantled the wall above the bedroom door and installed a glazed door with a transom. A large mirror was placed in front of this door in the corridor, and the walls were painted in light colors. All this in order to keep as much natural light in the apartment as possible.

The dressing room is hidden behind a curtain for a reason — the designer wanted to dilute the abundance of wooden facades and glass. Not only clothes and shoes are stored there, but also household chemicals, cleaning items and so on.

In the bedroom, I wanted to create a more "chamber" and enveloping atmosphere. A dark green natural shade of paint was chosen to match the wallpaper. It turned out to be a pleasant background for the color of natural oak, jute and metal products.

In the bedroom, you can see how even the most unremarkable view from the window can be integrated into the interior. Light green and gray shades of the neighboring house are combined with the colors of the room.

The bedroom combines a sleeping room with an office for work. For storing small things and decor, a glazed showcase, IKEA is provided. Table, meblya.zdreva. Office chair, Sandalyeci.

All the workers and especially the decorators were very surprised by the dark green color of the paint in the bedroom. They called several times and asked if there was any mistake here. It sounded something like this: "There's such a small room here… And so dark… Of course, we are not designers… Of course, we don't know, maybe this is how it should be, but..." I had to convince them more than once that this is exactly how it should be.

In the bathroom, tiles were used only on the floor and wet areas. The rest of the walls are painted with the same paint as in the bedroom. The textile curtain is fixed on an ordinary room cornice, the decor and the rug add comfort.
