Floral print and authentic furniture recreate the atmosphere of a Mediterranean resort in the project of Pleroo Design Studio designers

This small apartment for rent is located in the town of Polignano a Mare in Puglia, known for its picturesque views of the sea coast. Pleroo Design Studio worked on the design together with architect Adriano Pasciuti. A small space is zoned by a shelving partition decorated with a bright tropical print, which pays tribute to the local architectural tradition.

This multifunctional light wood shelving divides the room into a common area with a kitchen and dining room and a sleeping area with a bed with a wardrobe, which is located on the back side of the partition. The warm honey-colored wood in the bedroom is harmoniously combined with a soft textile ivory headboard and a stylish ocher Mega Dot coverlet of the Hay brand.

The decor of the apartment is complemented by vintage armchairs in checkered upholstery, Enzo Mari's Mariolina chair, a Gubi floor lamp, a vintage Martinelli Luce hinged wall lamp and minimalist works of art from Meitrei on the walls. All together, this creates a cozy, elegant space in which there is a place for both Mediterranean traditions and modern design Made in Italy — an ideal place for a short vacation in Polignano a Mare.
