Not far from the Snow Summit ski Resort in Southern California is this holiday home, built in the 1960s. It was designed by a designerClaire Thomas, who introduced elements of mid-century modernism into the decoration.

The house has two floors: on the ground floor there is a cozy living room with a fireplace and a kitchen, on the second floor there are bedrooms and a bathroom. High ceilings covered with boards, an abundance of wooden details and warm shades of furniture and textiles recreate the cozy atmosphere of the chalet.

The two-light living room is flooded with sunlight coming through the large windows. The shades of multicolored tiles with geometric prints, which are lined with a podium under the fireplace, are repeated in the upholstery of upholstered furniture and decorative items throughout the house.
