Classic apartment with bright accents

Designers of the Designlab studio Irina Shustik and Natalia Obolenskaya created an elegant and functional interior of a four-room apartment on 70 square meters

The initial idea was to combine two apartments into one living space with a division into two halves — private and shared. But the customers preferred to place the master bedroom and the son's bedroom on opposite sides, so that if necessary, when the son grows up, they can separate his apartment again. In addition, the designers had restrictions on the timing of repairs, because the customers planned to move in by September 1, starting construction in mid-May.

Non-standard layout of rooms with indirect angles required harmonious solutions. The identical veneered facades of the storage systems and the workplace in the son's room correct the complex geometry of this room. And the enfilade layout along the axis of the bedroom-dining room-living room and swing doors make relatively small rooms more voluminous. The light color scheme adds a feeling of airiness to the rooms. Despite the small square footage of the apartment, the designers managed to accommodate two bedrooms with bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, an entrance hall and a laundry room.

With the help of hidden doors, it was possible to create the effect of a much larger area of the premises, so carpentry products were made entirely to order according to the sketches of designers. Hidden in the wall with kitchen cabinets is a secret door to the pantry with a laundry room. And inside this door, the designers placed shelves for spices.  In the bedroom, the entrance door to the bathroom has the same finish as the wardrobe doors. The bedroom itself is painted in a delicate shade of blue, conducive to relaxation.

The same color, but more saturated, was used in the bathroom, where it gives greater depth to the room and perfectly combines with volakas marble. To make the most of the space, designers have provided shelves for cosmetic accessories in the bathroom behind the arched mirror. In the hallway, in order to visually enlarge the room, the entire wall was decorated with panels of aged mirrors, they integrated the entrance door to the guest bathroom.

The owners and their teenage son are fond of music. There are often guests in the house, so the owners wanted to bring an unusual color chord to the relatively quiet interior. Therefore, the guest bathroom looks like a bright explosion against the background of the pastel colors of the rest of the apartment! Now almost a real jungle welcomes guests from the stone jungle.
