In California's Joshua Tree National Park there is a country house that seems to have been transported to the desert landscapes straight from Japan. It was originally a one-story ranch built in 1966. Mini Inno Studio completely got rid of partitions and old finishes and started everything from a "clean slate". The designers have allocated a living room combined with a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate tea room, which occupied the space of the former garage.

The interior is inspired by nature and the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-sabi, which seeks to find beauty in imperfection. The space is filled with light shades and natural textures. The ceilings in the kitchen-living room are decorated with wooden beams, and the cream-colored kitchen island is complemented by wicker lampshades and wooden stools with bent legs. In the living room there is a white sofa, which is adjacent to a gray-brown leather armchair and a wooden console.

The tea room is located in a former garage, which the designers have supplemented with sliding glass doors that overlook the desert landscape. The center of the space is occupied by a low coffee table surrounded by floor cushions. The look of the interior is completed by a collection of ceramics placed on wooden shelves.

The house also has outdoor recreation areas, including a saltwater Jacuzzi, a covered patio with a dining table and a rock garden where you can admire the surrounding views and the starry sky.
