The studio layout, high ceilings, panoramic windows all evoke direct associations with the aesthetics of the loft. However, the designer who created the interior for mom and daughter, the loft turned out to be "soft", comfortable, filled with textiles and color accents.

A small studio apartment in a club house located in the historical center of Voronezh was purchased as a second home for mom and daughter for temporary accommodation on working days. The main wish was to create a single living space, but with the opportunity to retire and do homework or relax in silence. And a very unusual request was to watch TV from anywhere in the kitchen, living room and bedroom, which immediately gave away lovers of movies and TV series in the housewives.

Redevelopment
Planning difficulties are explained by the fact that the developer divided the four-room apartment into two studios. Hence the unusual geometry of the space, and the inability to move load-bearing walls and ventilation ducts between the corridor and the kitchen. For example, in our case, the bathroom with the necessary plumbing had to be inscribed in the wrong pentagon, and the air conditioner was placed near a special basket for the external unit on the facade of the building, since any other location complicated the installation methods.
Repair
The drop in the base of the rough floor was leveled with a screed. On the balcony and in the bathroom, a floor heating system was placed under ceramic granite. Windows, window sills and heating batteries were of good quality, so they were left. The partition between the bedroom and the living room was made of a frame and sheathed with drywall. A niche for a built-in wardrobe in the living room was erected in a similar way. It was equipped with compartments for storing household equipment (vacuum cleaner, ironing board, iron, mops and buckets).

To avoid the appearance of shrinkage cracks on the walls, they were decorated with artificial stone and wallpaper on a non-woven basis. The air conditioner was installed at the rate of one for the living room and bedroom. Ceilings throughout the apartment were made stretched, in areas with wooden slats sewn. On the floor of the bedroom and kitchen-living room there is an engineering board, a two-layer structure, where the upper layer is made of sawn oak lamella (3-4 mm thick) and covered with a protective layer of UV oil, and the lower one is made of birch plywood with increased moisture resistance. The boards are connected to each other using a spike-groove system. The finished coating is stable under humidity and temperature changes.

In the bathroom, the classic combination of black and white "marble" is complemented by shades of natural wood. The pattern of the porcelain stoneware floor brings dynamics to a small space. LED lighting around the perimeter of the room allows you to take a bath with dimmed light and relax after a working day.

Design
Brick walls and laconic furnishings, mandatory for a real loft, are complemented by finishing details made of wood and stone, bringing natural harmony to the interior. The overall stylistic idea of the interior is supported by wallpaper in rich shades: from brown to ochre and an original wall with wooden slats and geometric decor in the bedroom.
Thanks to the finishing techniques characteristic of the loft, its typical materials (glass, metal, brick), unusual geometry and open layout, the apartment has acquired individual features and charm. It organically combines industrial aesthetics and warm homely notes.

Lighting
Several lighting scenarios are provided for each functional area: for example, in the kitchen there is a lamp above the dining table and profile lamps hidden between wooden slats above the kitchen work surface. On the ceiling of the living room above the sofa, wooden slats are similar to those in the kitchen. Profile lamps of lower power were chosen for them, so as not to blind the eyes, but to create soft illumination and give additional volume to the bricks that make up the wall.

Designer Anastasia Begisheva, author of the project
They decided to separate the kitchen and the bedroom with a sliding glass partition, which significantly saves space. In addition, this is one of the ways to maintain a sense of spaciousness in a small studio apartment and, if necessary, model the space. Due to the abundance of glass and a thin metal "frame", the design seems almost weightless. When closed, the partition does not let the smells of food cooking on the stove and sounds into the bedroom. The side walls of the kitchen set and the end of the load-bearing wall open into the opening between the kitchen and the living room. Initially, they wanted to close them with a closet, but in order not to clutter the room, they used a rack in the form of a ladder. This storage system without a back wall and front doors leaves free access to sockets under the bottom shelf, including for a robot vacuum cleaner. At the same time, the rack plays a decorative role: souvenirs brought from travel are on its shelves.
