Villa Clear Oak, renovated by Woods + Dangaran bureau, is an excellent example of California modernism of the mid—twentieth century, commensurate with nature and man

California houses of the mid-twentieth century often run counter to the stereotype that modernist architecture is boring, concise and cold. There are enough villas in Los Angeles designed with attention to the comfort of the owners, decorated with natural materials and having a close connection of architecture with nature. Such an example is the Clear Oak Villa in Los Angeles, recently upgraded by the architectural studio Woods + Dangaran.

The house stands on a hill overlooking the San Fernando Valley, the San Gabriel Mountains and Santa Susana. It is surrounded by a shady garden with an outdoor pool, a terrace and seating areas. The interiors are decorated in a modern minimalist style and filled with works of art and modernist furniture of the mid-twentieth century, and a lot of natural wood is used in the decoration and decor. It gives lakonchin spaces warmth and home comfort.

The architects of Woods + Dangaran not only updated the interiors, but also made minor changes to the architecture of the building. The facade lines were adjusted, the roof line was straightened, window and door openings were enlarged — this helped to make the silhouette of the house more strict and fit it more organically into the surrounding landscape, "letting nature into the house".

The result of the work was impressive and was appreciated not only by the owners of the house and their friends, but also by the international architectural community. For the project of the Clear Oak Villa, the Woods + Dangaran team of architects, led by Brett Woods and Joseph Dangaran, received several important architectural awards.
