Creative space with coworking in Menorca

Anna Truyol, founder of Artchimboldi, believes that work is primarily creativity, and the task of the workspace is to inspire

Designer Anna Truyol (Anna Truyol) — the founder of the Artchimboldi company, which has been engaged in progressive team building, training businessmen and creating a comfortable environment for companies for 15 years. The two Artchimboldi spaces in Barcelona regularly host workshops, business lunches, conferences and lectures - everything to make the work of each team member more comfortable and productive. Anna believes that the interior is one of the integral components of motivation and inspiration, so she invited a local architect Emma Martí to work on the Artchimboldi representative office in Menorca.

The choice of the building was almost a foregone conclusion — it became the first school for girls in St. Louis, a small village in the southeast of the island. The house is an architectural monument built in 1900, but completely abandoned for a long time. Anna Trujolle and Emma Marty tried to do everything possible to preserve the spirit of this place. For example, one of the walls, finished with a local variety of stone, was left in its original form, limiting itself only to painting and preserving an imperfect texture.

Abandoning all the alluvial, removing a lot of partitions and dilapidated elements, the authors of the project planned two spacious bright spaces. The ceilings were preserved, as a result, the rooms acquired a height of up to six meters, which is emphasized by a large ceiling lamp and a four-meter chimney pipe. Now it was necessary to create friendly and creative workplaces here.

The first floor was designed according to the principle of living space, with a kitchen opening onto a cozy courtyard. Lacquered wood kitchen furniture and numerous tables designed by Artchimboldi form an area for joint culinary experiments. A huge slab measuring 4 by 4 meters, custom-made, recalls the past of this building. A vintage bookcase, the same age as the house, and poufs in the recreation area offer to distract yourself with a book, and a pool covered with micro cement — to plunge into cool water.

On the second floor there are sleeping places decorated with pine wood and natural linen; you can also lie down on the roof. It was completely reconstructed, waterproofing and heat-insulated. "At Artchimboldi Menorca I wanted to transfer all the best that was in Barcelona. This is a space that is designed to help in the development of business culture, making it more human-oriented, creative and free," says Anna Truyol.
