Laconic, comfortable and functional space — this task was set by the customers, a young married couple with two children, to the designer Polina Agafonova, instructing her to design the interior of a country house.

"The head of the family is a lawyer, his wife works in finance, demanding clients with taste. They came to the interview with their own selection of European interior magazines. Clients have already collaborated with designers before and wanted to get a stylish interior that reflects their personality," says the designer.

On the ground floor, it was decided to arrange common areas: a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and two offices that can serve as guest rooms. On the second floor, sleeping areas for the family were designed: the owners' room with a private bathroom and a dressing room and two children's rooms. The bedrooms are united by a large hall with a sitting area and a family library.

The texture of the wood in the interior was preserved by covering the walls with dark enamel. "When we painted the walls, the builders persuaded me to abandon dark shades, because usually customers prefer a light palette. But we also thought about this and chose a slightly different range for the cabinets," explains Polina. The hostess's office is made in pleasant shades of pink and purple, it has a soft and cozy atmosphere. The "male" office repeats the decoration of the walls of the first, but is furnished with furniture of more strict forms.

The central place in the living room is occupied by a fireplace decorated with large-format mosaics. Its asymmetrical shape resembles a Russian oven. Laconic furniture emphasizes the thoroughness of the project. "Sitting comfortably in armchairs by the fireplace, the owners can enjoy the scenery outside the windows. The texture of stone, harmoniously combined with the expressive texture of wood, shows all the beauty of natural materials."

Special attention was paid to the organization of the master bedroom. A bed on a frame with beams and a rack-and-pinion headboard zones the room into a boudoir and a private part for sleeping. Linear illumination is installed between the slats, which additionally illuminates both zones, and the voids between the slats allow natural light from the windows to penetrate into the boudoir.

Several functional spaces were also created in the children's rooms: the workplace was located next to the window and storage systems were provided in the play area. Blue shades are responsible for a calm mood, and "smart" furniture can be adjusted over time to the growth of the child.

"It was not the first time that we and our customers found a common vision for the project. Therefore, I am especially proud that as a result they were satisfied with my work. Ergonomic layout, comfortable color scheme — all this makes the interior filled, taking into account the needs of each member of a large family."
