It was one of the most difficult projects, because I was the customer myself. The work began during the pandemic — after a period of self-isolation, I, like many others, wanted to transform the space around me. However, the priority has always been the objects of customers, and the final arrangement of my apartment was greatly delayed due to lack of time. It was not an easy path, but I really like the result.

The original layout of the apartment did not quite suit me. We demolished the partitions in the kitchen area, combining it with the living room and freeing up space for a kitchen island. And they also made a wide opening at the windows in the bedroom so that you could admire the view of the historical building of the V.P. von Derviz gymnasium from the dining room.

The main idea was to combine many different textures and materials in the interior: metal, veneer, wood, marble and glass. The space is built on the contrast of shades — from dark to light. The entrance area is an extension of the kitchen. The facades of the cabinets and walls are made in veneer, which is similar in color and texture to burnt wood. Light terrazzo marble tiles and white countertops balanced the dark accents, and kitchen facades made of polished brass gave the interior brightness.

The kitchen is made to order according to the designer's sketches. The countertop and sink are made of quartz, Technistone.

The soft area in the living room stands out due to the wine shade and wall decor, which sets a vertical rhythm. The khaki sofa is perfectly combined with the greenery of the trees that can be seen from the window. We intentionally left the wall opposite the sofa empty — it serves as a screen for the projector.

Another decoration of the living room was the dining table, which I designed myself. Its design is inspired by another decorative item. A year ago, my colleague, Yulia Belyaeva, gave me an unusual sculpture of Cheburashka, created by the artist Vladimir Ivanov. Along with her, white accents began to appear in the house, including the table. In addition to it, I chose the work of Maria Future, which is made of plaster and echoes the texture of the plastered surface of the countertop and legs.

The bedroom is also made in a wine shade, which is combined with soft gray tones. Maxim Kokin's painting "Electric Wind" hangs opposite the bed. Its lines echo the fluting of the glass in the partition: at a certain angle, the pattern on the glass is distorted and becomes more dynamic. On both sides, the bed is framed by tables with marble countertops. The veins of the stone rhyme with the color of the walls in the room and at the same time echo the decoration in the master bathroom.

Children's room. Wallpaper, Cole & Son. The cabinets are made according to the designer's sketches. The bed, DoodyWoody. Textiles and pillows are made to order, "Touches the house".

We tried to make the room for our son not too childish. The basis of the concept was wallpaper with images of whales. The marine theme is supported by cabinets with rounded lines on the facades and wooden handles that resemble oars.

Hallway. Poof, Unika Moblar. Bra, Faro. The furniture is made to order according to the designer's sketches.

The guest bathroom requires special attention. The combination of different-colored emerald tiles on the walls, marble countertops and brass faucets looks very saturated. The effect is enhanced by corner mirrors in the bathroom, which visually double the space. The bathroom also performs the function of a household unit. The entire inventory is hidden behind facades that merge with the color of the walls and ceiling.

Wall tiles, Equipe Ceramicas. Paint, Paint & Paper Library. Faucets and accessories, Grohe. Marble countertop, Artishock. Bra, Menu. The furniture is made to order according to the designer's sketches.
