Dior showroom in Tel Aviv with plywood furniture: KOT Architects project

KOT Architects created a space for the Dior fashion house, in which they combined a showroom for clients and an office for employees. And for the interiors, shades of beige and warm wood were chosen — so that everyone felt almost at home there

We are used to the fact that Dior showrooms surprise with exquisite design and numerous references to the cultural codes of the House. They resemble the temple of fashion, design and jewelry art, which it is customary to enter with anticipation. The architects of KOT Architects sought to create a completely different environment while working on the brand's new home in Tel Aviv. According to the authors of the project, it should combine the functions of a showroom and an office and attract visitors with its homely atmosphere.

The new showroom is located on the 17th floor of a newly built office building and is designed to resemble a cozy living space with soft sofas, seating areas and a large birch plywood shelving.

The urban environment and the view from the panoramic windows of office buildings in contrast enhance the "homely" character of the shades and materials that the authors of the project used for decoration and a sense of comfort.

"Our idea was to create a sense of home in this space with zones to create a welcoming and secluded environment, different from a regular office or boutique," says Kfir Galatia Azulay, founder of KOT Architects.

The architects used white and beige shades with brass accents to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. In combination with white travertine, polished white marble, untreated concrete and light wood, these materials create a simple but elegant environment, which, according to the architects, is in tune with the philosophy of the Dior brand.

In addition to the showroom for customers, the showroom has a kitchenette, elevators and employees' offices, which are located in another wing. A wooden rack is used for zoning: on the one hand, employees can hold meetings and communicate, and on the other hand, customers can choose and try on clothes.

"The task was to optimize the space and divide it into two wings — one for the company's offices, and the other, an additional wing, for a showroom with a place for clients," the architects say.
