Give up the keys and move into a ready-made, even decorated apartment. Isn't that a dream? This is how the Zu Hause Design team, led by designer Olga Tsurikova, implemented this project.

Customer and tasks
This apartment in Moscow is owned by a young girl. It was important for her to provide maximum storage systems in a small space, to design a comfortable interior with a kitchen-living room and a separate bedroom. For this, she turned to designer Olga Tsurikova, head of the Zu Hause Design studio.

Redevelopment
The apartment was rented in a White Box finish. And certain areas have already been designated by the developer: kitchen-living room, bedroom, bathroom. In order to allocate more storage systems, the designer proposed to make a small redevelopment. So, the area of the corridor and a small part of the bedroom were used for a dressing room, in fact, a space where two storage cabinets are installed. Through this area you can get to the bathroom.

Finishing
Paint was chosen for wall decoration. Mirrors and panels were actively used in the bedroom: made of duropolymer and soft. They were placed behind the headboard of the bed. "This decoration allowed us to beat the space and change the geometry and volume of the room due to the rhythm and different textures," Olga comments on the choice. In the kitchen-living room, a frosted bronze mirror is placed on the border of two zones. Also, this room is zoned with floor decoration: in the living room area there is an engineering board, in the kitchen area (and behind it in the hallway) granite. The engineering board was also laid in the bedroom.

In the bathroom, porcelain stoneware was combined (on the floor and walls, where water will get in) and paint for wet rooms.
Furniture and storage systems
The storage systems are custom-made. They were thought out to the smallest detail. Thanks to the redevelopment, it was possible to increase the amount of storage space in the apartment, but cabinets were also organized in other areas. So, in the bedroom there is a built-in wardrobe, drawers inside the bed with a lifting mechanism, a chest of drawers that turns into a dressing table (all with drawers), two bedside tables.

In the kitchen-living room there is a TV stand for documents and books and the kitchen itself, where all the necessary appliances were built in, including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and the storage volume was increased due to cabinets up to the ceiling.

In the hallway, a chest of drawers for small things was provided, and even a pouf with a drawer inside. Hats, scarves and gloves can be stored under the seat cover.

The bathroom has a built-in wardrobe, where a washing machine and shelves for storing various household supplies are located. In the cabinet under the sink there is a place for care cosmetics and other important little things.

The finished furniture was selected just as scrupulously. For example, an armchair in the living room corresponds in height to the seat of a standard chair. This is provided in case the hostess wants to put a desktop in this area and organize a home office.
Lighting
The designer has provided several lighting scenarios. Built-in track lights in the kitchen and in the dressing room. Above the bar there is an arched suspension that repeats the curves of other interior details, in particular, mirrors. Above the sofa wall sconce. In the bedroom, the general light is solved by a chandelier, and additional suspensions on the sides of the bed. There are also bedside readers. There is a small and elegant ceiling lamp in the hallway. The bathroom has built-in spotlights and illuminated mirrors.

The interior turned out to be light, airy, modern, very comfortable to live in. Reflects the mood and energy of the customer. Pleasant light shades with golden elements and changing the geometry of the space due to mirrors, rhythmic panels, door panels to the ceiling create a feeling of a larger area. This project was implemented by my turnkey design studio, the customer gave the keys at the first stage of measurements and accepted the interior in the condition as in the photo. There was a wow effect when the customer saw her apartment for the first time. I would like to note that I created two art objects specifically for this project. One painting is located in the bedroom, and the second in the hallway. The second is called "Bed", voluminous and textured, it is made specifically for the size of the built-in hatch, which is located behind it (a hatch with access to the switchboard).
