The project's customers are a young married couple. The spouse is from Peru. Initially, he came to Russia in order to live for a year or two and continue traveling around the world, but he met his future wife and stayed late. Now they are going to travel together, so they did not want to invest much in the apartment and plan to rent it in the future.

Sofa, Monanova. Parquet board, Karelia. The lamps are made to order, "Moonlight". Cabinet furniture is made to order according to the designer's sketches.

The apartment is small, so we decided not to clutter up the space with unnecessary partitions. There is a small closet in the hallway area and there is also an entrance to the guest bathroom. Opposite it is a laundry room, one wall of which serves as a support for the march of the stairs. Then a single kitchen-living room space opens up. The second floor is occupied by a bedroom with a place for a desk and a bathroom.

The apartment was conceived as an oasis of peace in the middle of a big city. We have abandoned bright colors and contrasting combinations, having decorated the entire space in a gray-beige shade. At the same time, the interior does not seem boring — the same tone looks different depending on the material and lighting.

The staircase is made of perforated metal sheets.

The main focus was the staircase made of perforated metal. It looks light, almost weightless, but in fact each step is made of sheets 8 mm thick and weighs about 50 kg.

In an effort to maximize the use of the living room area, we designed a comfortable banquette with pillows made of the same fabric as the sofa by the window. Two walls in the room were painted white so that the image from the projector could be reproduced on them.

We tried to make the kitchen area more intimate in contrast to the airy bright living room. In this we were helped by a parquet board, which we let from the shelf to the ceiling. At the same time, the kitchen itself seems almost imperceptible, merging with the gray-beige shade of the walls.

Climbing the stairs, we get into the bedroom. In order not to build unnecessary railings, I made a long work table as an enclosing structure. Behind it is a row of spacious cabinets and shelves. There is no bed in the bedroom: at the request of the owners, we put the mattress directly on the carpet. The only decorative element here is the niches that break the smooth surfaces of the walls. There is a built-in backlight in one niche, and a small shelving was placed in the other.

We have placed only the most necessary things in the bathrooms. We installed a bathtub on the ground floor and a shower room on the second floor. In the lower bathroom, storage spaces are located along the toilet installation — even a toilet brush is hidden in it. For the master bathroom, we chose a floor sink with an opening door and a shelf inside.
