Duplex in Beirut with bright accents

Askdeco design studio has designed a house for a young married couple in the center of the dynamic capital of Lebanon

The owners of this modern duplex with an area of 700 sq. m are a young couple with a child. "At the first meeting, the customers said they wanted an industrial—style house," says Nisrine Nasr, co-founder of Askdeco Studio. "But in the course of working together on the project, the concept has shifted towards a more refined and comfortable space." Preserving the minimalistic industrial aesthetics that customers sought, the designers brought elements of comfort and elegance to the interior.

Askdeco designers are confident that the ability to understand their customers is the key to creating functional spaces. "By inviting the client to discuss the project, we try to build a trusting relationship. This approach guarantees the competent management of the client's time and resources," explains Nizrin.

The windows of the house offer, on the one hand, a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea and Roman ruins, and on the other — the streets of Beirut full of colors. To emphasize this duality in the interior, designers have diluted the monochrome palette with splashes of color. Expressive works of art, bright pieces of furniture and eccentric decorative elements added liveliness and dynamics to the interior.

The room was divided into two functional parts. On the ground floor there is a private relaxation area with a spacious bedroom and a marble bathroom. Upstairs there is a meeting and reception area with a cigar lounge, a bar and a game room equipped with a billiard table and table football. The two floors are connected by a spectacular spiral staircase resembling a bird cage.

"Well-designed spaces improve the quality of life of those who live there. We have a lot of commercial projects under our belt, but the design of residential premises is no less important for us. When we see that customers feel at home in an updated interior, this is a special reward," says Nizrin.
