This apartment got to its new owner, the customer of the designer Mikhail Shishkin, by accident. "He wasn't going to live here himself," says the author of the project. - Therefore, my main task was to create an interior for rent within a minimum budget."

One of the main features of the apartment is the T-shaped layout. Some of the rooms face the sunny side, the other - on the shady side. It was important to maintain a balance to keep the air and light in each of them.
The apartment has very high ceilings, especially noticeable in the living room. "I decided to emphasize this vertical and not hide the concrete texture," says Mikhail. —We lowered the ceiling only over the kitchen, thereby dividing the space into functional zones."

Since the apartment is located in Sochi, the main focus in the living room was the view from the window. The kitchen combines a minimum of functions for temporary residence, and the bedroom, despite the fact that it is on the shady side, turned out to be very light and airy.

The light color of the walls was chosen for the tile, which was preserved by the customer from other projects. The monochrome solution helped to create an atmosphere of tranquility and make the interior universal, which is especially important for an apartment for rent.

"The character of the interior is given by handmade things, such as a lamp in the bedroom — we bought it from a Chinese master. I, in turn, painted it black, thereby supporting the color accents."

"As a result, we managed to make the interior seasoned and balanced despite the fact that we had to work with items that the customer already had. We found a place for each of them and linked them to common solutions."

Bathroom. Sink, Villeroy & Boch.
