Nature and interior in this wooden house, built according to old Latvian technologies, look like an inseparable bundle. The light from the huge windows spreads in soft rays across the floor of old oak planks, freely glides through the two-light space of the living room. The towering trunks of pine trees outside the windows echo the seven-meter pipe of a modern suspended fireplace in the living room. To understand where it ends, you instinctively raise your eyes to the ceiling, where a two—meter suspended sculpture is flickering - the work of South Korean artist Lee Bul.

"It is this combination of simple shapes and natural materials, eight—meter ceilings and the warm texture of old wood, modern art and antique objects from around the world that creates a sense of "timeless" in the interior, as the customer wanted," says Tatiana Fokina, founder of Studio Caché bureau.

"Another wish of the customer — to get away from the feeling of a "country house", was fulfilled with the help of wall paneling and textured plaster. Thanks to them, in most rooms there is an illusion that the house is not wooden."

"This house is like a sedative pill, it envelops with absolute peace from the threshold"
"We are very glad that we managed to make it cozy despite the large spaces, a very calm Nordic color scheme and the absence of unnecessary decor in the form of all kinds of pillows and figurines."

"When all the pieces of the puzzle eventually formed into the picture we had in mind, we felt a huge relief! — concludes Tatiana Fokina. — In the lockdown conditions in which the work took place, when all the pieces of furniture were ordered without the opportunity to look at them live, and the key moments of the construction were controlled remotely, it seemed like a real miracle!"
