Elegant apartment with elements of English style in Astana

Creating the interior of this apartment, designer Irina Simonyan-Sokolova sought to find the perfect balance between classic and modern

The owners of the apartment turned to designer Irina Simonyan-Sokolova Irina with a request to create a modern functional interior in which all family members will be comfortable. "It was easy and interesting to work on the project," says Irina. — The customer has a very delicate taste. As references, she sent photos of European interiors with elements of English style and formulated in detail the task for each zone."

"The main task when working with the layout was to correctly connect two neighboring apartments. The resulting space of 250 sq.m. we divided into three parts. The right wing was occupied by two children's rooms, the left — a spacious master bedroom and an office, and in the center there was a large open living room that connected all the zones together."

"The apartment has very good initial data, and we wanted to keep the space as open, bright and airy as possible. Classic modular parquet was laid on the floor, plaster cornices in the spirit of English classics were put around the perimeter of the rooms, the walls were decorated with moldings and wooden panels. The trick is that it's all done very delicately. Decorative details do not catch the eye, but create the desired "classic mood" in the apartment."

"The interior turned out to be spectacular and multifaceted due to a complex combination of furniture, lighting items and different finishing textures. The dominant feature of the interior was the fireplace portal in the living room, lined with rare marble. Thanks to the special treatment on the surface of the stone there are deep veins that give it a resemblance to expensive leather. We used the same marble in the decoration of the owners' bathroom."

"In the parent's bedroom, attention is primarily focused on the deep blue shade of the bed, which is placed on the form of wooden panels with decorative breakdown. The composition is complemented by a spectacular chandelier in the form of crystal circles."

"My daughter's bedroom turned out to be very bright and cozy. The cabinet furniture in the room is made to order according to our sketches and decorated with wallpaper with an expressive texture.

The children's bathroom is decorated with light large-format granite, which creates a sense of cleanliness and order, and laconic accessories emphasized the individuality and character of the interior."
