Designers Angelina Borodkina and Ksenia Evstafyeva, Artists Collaboration bureau, breathed new life into the interior of a country house near Kazan, using a complex combination of textures

The customers turned to Angelina and Ksenia with a request to completely redo the interior of the house in which they had lived for several years. A large family — at that time with three, and later with four children — wanted to move faster, and the interior was made in a hurry. When the time and desire appeared, we decided to approach the issue more thoroughly — to form an interior that reflects the tastes and preferences of all family members. "Initially, the walls were painted white," says Angelina. — He dominated the whole interior. But over time, the owners realized that such a space leaves a feeling rather of a city apartment, whereas they wanted the image of a country house to be read in the interior."

The kitchen is made to order. Veneer finish of stained eucalyptus. To make the facades not seem monotonous, they were supplemented with vertical serifs. The Palma chandelier from Vibia for the dining room was picked up at the Salone del Mobile exhibition. It was presented as a prototype, but the customer liked the chandelier so much that she agreed to wait until a serial copy appeared.

At first we decided to just repaint the walls and refresh the atmosphere. But it soon became clear that this would not solve the main problem. To give the interior a unique feeling of comfort and peace, which happens only in country houses, there was a catastrophic lack of variety of textures. So the work has become noticeably more. "We were extremely lucky with our customers,— says Ksenia. "We came to a complete understanding, and thanks to this it became possible to make the interior more complex and richer than it was seen at the beginning of the journey."
"The customer and I have been looking for interior accessories all over the world"

The dishes decorating the dining table are handmade, bought at the Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris.

The tone is set by the design of the living room. Designers recall that when they first got to the object, they really liked the view from the windows. In the process of remodeling, it was decided to beat natural motifs so that the interior echoed the surrounding landscape. To do this, one of the walls was decorated with marble of a beautiful green shade — in the "tone" of the landscape outside the windows. The panels were made voluminous, with different levels and a complex structure. Then eucalyptus wood was added, and the rest of the walls were painted gray, again beating the colors of the earth and forest. An important accent was handmade ceramic tiles, which decorated the fireplace. "They didn't use it and almost forgot about its existence," says Angelina. "Meanwhile, this is almost the main attribute of suburban life — a living fire that fills the evenings with warm soft light, giving the same feeling of comfort."

The office of the owner of the house. The walls are covered with Arte Flamant Caractere wallpaper and decorated with panels with enamel and American walnut veneer, passing into built-in furniture and window sills. The chandelier is made to order by Handle Studio specifically for the lampshade of the Forestier brand.

It was important to customers that the image of a country house sounded in the interior

A lot of attention was paid to the design of children's rooms. Designers poetically call the girls' room "The Kingdom of Forest Fairies". The bright, light interior, as conceived by the authors, should recreate the atmosphere of girlish dreams. The boy's room is decorated more strictly, besides, it is a nursery "for growth": the main functional element is a full-wall storage system with alternating open and closed sections, so that the volumetric composition does not seem boring. Stylistically, the image of the discoverer is created here: a tent serves as a game, and where is it without a telescope and a globe!

"I wanted to see here unusual unique things that we were looking for all over the world," Ksenia adds. — For example, we brought a spectacular floor lamp with a shell-shaped ceiling that decorates the living room from Bali, and we bought a handmade ceramic dish at the Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris. Moreover, we wanted to see it in the interior so much sooner that we took the dish ourselves, without waiting for delivery, despite its considerable weight!" @artists_collaboration Fragment of the master bedroom.
