The designers of the Tor-Ard bureau are proud of this project: they managed to create an interior that easily accepts any works of art. In addition, it is very cozy and spacious

The owner of this apartment contacted the bureau "Tor-Ard" with a project from another designer. She was completely satisfied with the layout, the bureau team had to perform another task — to harmoniously fit an extensive collection of art and decorative items into the interior.
"The customer has extensive experience of living in different countries of Europe and the world," the designers say. — The interior needed to be made Mediterranean and Asian notes, necessarily tiles in the Russian style. She is well versed in art and has a large collection, she needed an interior capable of accepting any new paintings, art objects, vintage and antique items."

The stove was moved to a safer place, away from the curtains.

The layout was still slightly tweaked: a hidden pantry was arranged in the breakfast area in the kitchen, separating this area from the living room. In the living room itself, the bourgeoisie was moved to a safe distance from the curtains. The areas of the bathrooms were brought into compliance with the legislation so that there would be no problems with coordination, and in both bathrooms they made a more ergonomic arrangement of plumbing. The living room and dining room, smoothly turning into the kitchen, are traditionally located in the public part of the apartment, the bedroom and the master bathroom are in the private one.

The antique sideboard in the living room, half antique, half vintage, was bought already in this form. The upper part with carved columns and a pharmacy cabinet belongs to the XIX century and was once brought from Austria, the lower part is already the XX century. The buffet was found near Smolensk, restored and supplemented with modern handles made of orange ceramic. All the mirrors are well preserved, they have not been changed.

"Beauty is in the details," the designers remind, "that's why we hid all the air conditioning grilles without harming the system, chose plaster lamps that became one with the ceiling, and almost did not use massive chandeliers so that they would not distract attention from paintings and decor. The slopes of the windows and balcony doors were framed with decorative platbands and oak veneer fittings in the color of the window frames."

The hood was made to order from metal, forged consoles were also ordered there, the base of which is made in the form of branches, and a coffee table. The designers tinted the hood together with the hostess — its golden color echoes the gilded frames of paintings and mirrors.

In addition to works of art, a large number of plants and an aquarium had to be entered into the interior. The designers also took care of the four—legged tenant of the apartment - the beloved toy terrier of the hostess. A niche was made in the kitchen set for his bowls so that they would not stand in plain sight.

There is no tulle on the windows, only light Roman curtains. The apartment is located on a high floor, all Windows offer a beautiful view of Moscow.

Table lamps with monkeys for the bedroom were won on ebay, safely redeemed and shipped from America to Moscow. When the designers opened the box, it turned out that the lamps were not packed, one broke, the second part of the metal elements was terribly crumpled... "I had to make a lot of effort to completely fix everything," they recall, "and also replace the cartridges. We coped with the task and now the lamps please the hostess, and now we remember their story with humor."

In the bathroom of the bedroom, a freestanding bathtub with a forged frame was placed near the window, and shelves were placed on the wall next to it, which became a single monolith with the wall. Instead of a window sill, tiles were laid — numerous plants of the hostess of the house feel great here.

The bookcase in the study has its own history. The netting, which is a decorative element of glass doors, was manually tinted and mounted on glass. It was not possible to reach an understanding with the furniture makers immediately. "For three weeks they asked not to do it," the designers share, "and we, on the contrary, asked very much to do it. Now they have a healthy roll of this net, which they sometimes remind us of."
