What should be a cozy home for a large family? — Big, bright, filled with only positive emotions and, of course, harmonious and consonant with its owners. In this cottage near Moscow, everything is exactly like that. The house with an area of 260 sq m is designed for a family with two children. "There is also a cat and a dog living here, everyone's favorites," says the author of the project Konstantin Valuikin from the Apelsin Design bureau. — The owners are a young couple, they play sports, travel a lot. They often receive guests on weekends — I needed to create all the conditions for this: to plan a spacious living room and dining room. In addition, the hostess is fond of painting and dreamed of her own home workshop where she could do creative work."

"A lot of things were made to order for this house," says the architect. — Very lucky with the customer. Thanks to the patience of our customers! Some things were designed for a long time and produced according to sketches and drawings manually in workshops. For example, a staircase was assembled from water pipes, a fireplace portal was cooked from steel sheets. The staircase in the kitchen had to be integrated into the finished Italian furniture facades. The surfaces were covered with a special composition, the desired rust effect was achieved (even lemons were used!). In a word, the creative process!"

The owners dreamed of their own nest away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where they could relax and gain strength. As for the interior style, at the very first meeting with the architect, it turned out that the couple liked the Scandinavian style. In addition, the owners are impressed by some elements of loft-style interiors. So there were open brickwork and tables made of boards on wheels, reminiscent of industrial spaces.

The kitchen is the brightest, most color—saturated room in the house. "The kitchen cabinets are Italian, but the turquoise palette is non—standard. The paintwork was done according to my sketches, — says Konstantin. — The ornament of hand-molded tiles, which the apron is lined with, reminds of Mediterranean interiors. A metal ladder that can be moved if necessary to have access to the upper cabinets (it is fixed on the guide axis) "it's a reference to the loft style."

"The blue sofa in the living room serves as a rhyme and complement to the turquoise kitchen," the architect continues. — After all, the interior is a dialogue. When you enter a room and see an unusual-colored sofa, you wonder what to expect from the next room. You pass on and see a bright kitchen, the logic is traced. Immediately there is a desire to study everything else."

The interior of the living room is built on neutral natural shades of the earth. The accent is a sofa upholstered in a soft turquoise color. The bedroom is bright with a predominance of dark blue, which the architects combine with a warm gray shade and white. The bathroom is dominated by green tones. "I put together a palette of rooms like a puzzle, stringing one shade on another," says Konstantin. "All the rooms complement each other perfectly."

"I decided to add deep and bright colors to this interior mainly to create the right mood," says Konstantin. — I believe that when a person wakes up in a color-saturated bedroom, he feels more joy from the onset of a new day. He is charged with great achievements. The main thing is not to overdo it. In a country house, natural colors are a priority."
