It is not by chance that this project got its name in honor of the sun. The apartment is oriented on three sides, so it is literally woven from air and light. Its owners are young people who travel a lot and are passionately in love with Japan, professionals, each in their own field. From their trips they brought a lot of art objects that had to find their place in the interior.

One of the principles in the design was to observe a certain asceticism, we wanted to leave the "house of the sun" open, not overloaded. And it turned out — there is harmony, calmness, lightness in it. All references to ethnicity are barely perceptible, and sometimes only the customer and I know about them.

I like the balance of classic techniques and modern details with the presence of vintage objects. Despite the impressive size of the kitchen, it fits into the common space of the living room very organically. The dining area was decorated with a table with a mosaic inlaid with walnut veneer and a group of vintage chairs, which we restored and tightened.

The head of the family collects autographs of football and hockey players on sports uniforms, as well as aircraft models. The collection is large, and we have dedicated a separate room to it.

One of my favorite spaces is the master bedroom. According to our sketch, the bed is made: it has a low base, like a tatami, and a structure with supports under the canopy, which we decided to leave open. In the layout, the bedroom block is "with a secret" — the rooms are separated from the rest, and you can get inside only through the dressing room.

In the headboard, the main element is an ink painting, a reference to sumi—e, the art of monochrome ink painting, but with a modern plot. In general, a lot of attention was paid to the choice of graphics. Some of the paintings were purchased from artists directly from collections, some were made to order or as museum-quality reproductions. There is also a vintage found in the Land of the Rising Sun.

In the main bathroom, you should pay attention to the hanging cabinet, the facades of which are decorated with copper sheets. The walls around the freestanding bathtub are rounded and gently invite you to spa treatments before going to bed. In the guest bathroom there was a painting in the Chinoiserie style, which was based on light branches of the clerodendrum. And in the children's and game room we have created a special fairy-tale world filled with color and bright shapes.
