A kitchen-living room, a bedroom and a bathroom were placed on a small area.

Customers and tasks
This house is located on the territory next to the main house of the owners. The owner wanted to create a chalet-style atmosphere inside and preserve the mood of rest and relaxation, for which she turned to designers Tatiana Kulinchenko and Victoria Domotseva. The kitchen-living room, bedroom and bathroom were to be decorated on a small square.

Layout
The main part of the house is a kitchen-living room combined with an entrance hall. From it there is an exit to a small bedroom, and already a bathroom adjoins the bedroom. The designers did not need to change the location of the internal partitions, but to arrange the furniture correctly and plan the space. So, the kitchen and dining room were equipped next to a large window, dividing this area into two parts: in one there is a sink and a stove for cooking, in the other there is a built-in small refrigerator and a microwave oven. The sofa is installed opposite the window, so it turned out to be a logical kitchen-living room.

Next to the entrance to the bedroom and opposite the entrance to the house itself, there is a built-in wardrobe for things, the only one in the whole house. There is only a bed in the bedroom. The elongated small bathroom was successfully divided into a shower and a sink with a toilet, the sink turned out to be next to the window.
Finishing
For wall decoration in the common area, paint was chosen, in the bedroom at the head of the bed, emphasis was placed on wallpaper with the image of twigs of Thunberg pine. According to the authors, these wallpapers became the starting point in the design concept. Part of the wall is decorated with a wooden panel made of a board. In the hallway, one of the walls is completely decorated with mirrors, this is both a visual increase in space and a functional decor.

The floors in all areas are lined with granite. In the kitchen-living room, background porcelain stoneware was used in combination with the decor. The bedroom has porcelain stoneware under the tree.
In the bathroom, the walls are lined with rectangular white tiles without chamfering, and the floor is the same granite as in the common area, without decor.
Separately, I would like to note the design of the ceiling. The chalet style is characterized by wooden ceiling beams. The ceiling height in the ridge of the common area reaches 4.4 meters, which made it possible to make beams without the risk of visually overloading the room. This idea was implemented using aged timber. In the hallway area, the ceiling is lined with wooden boards, which echoes the design of the wall at the head of the bed.

And in the bathroom they decided to make a dark blue colored ceiling.
Furniture and storage systems
Since the house is a guest house, there was no need for large-scale storage only for the most necessary. As we wrote above, a spacious wardrobe is built into the hallway. In the bathroom, a bedside table under the sink is provided for storing various small things.
The kitchen set is not quite standard. Due to the layout features, it is divided into two parts. The first one is deployed at an angle "outward", which gave an additional working surface. There are a couple of hanging upper cabinets. The second part of the kitchen is more like a chest of drawers. There is a small refrigerator and microwave built in, there are several drawers for additional storage.

Lighting
Built-in spotlights were chosen as a common light for the hallway and bathroom. The kitchen-living room space is illuminated by a large chandelier with 18 light bulbs in the form of candles, a reference to the aesthetics of the chalet. A sconce in the same style is mounted on the wall above the dining table. In the bedroom there is a chandelier and readers at the head of the bed.

Designers Tatiana Kulinchenko and Victoria Domotseva, studio Le DES:
Equipping a guest house for her friends and family, the hostess did not even imagine that it would become her personal favorite place where you can be alone with yourself, your thoughts and feelings. The beautiful light and the peaceful atmosphere of the house contributed to the emergence of a new hobby of painting. As designers, we are sincerely glad that the space we have created gives rise to inspiration.
