In the best traditions of Scandinavian interiors: apartment for mom and daughter in Chelyabinsk

Looking at the photos of this project, it is easy to imagine that the apartment is located in Sweden or, for example, Denmark. The designer used visual techniques that favorably distinguish Scandinavian interiors: a laconic kitchen, a decorative fireplace portal that became a shelf for books, natural textures.

Customers and tasks

From the windows of this apartment there is a beautiful view of the surrounding forest, and according to designer Irina Molchanovskaya, it was the views from the window that largely determined the purchase for the hostess of a young girl with her daughter. One of the main tasks was to continue the surrounding nature in the interior. "It was important to emphasize the feeling of air and naturalness, using Scandinavian lightness, a combination of textures, colors and accents in the form of unobtrusive graphics on the walls," says the author of the project.

Layout

According to the original plan, the apartment had two separate rooms, a shared kitchen-living room, two bathrooms. The layout suited the hostess and corresponded to her requirements. The only change that was made was made from the second bathroom in the center of the apartment to the dressing room at the bedroom. So the hostess got her own private block. The rest of the premises were left within their borders. There is a bathroom at the entrance. Down the hall is my daughter's room. After that, you can get into the spacious kitchen-living room, and from it to the hostess's bedroom.

Finishing

For the floor, we chose laminated parquet with a French "herringbone" pattern. This technique is often used in Scandinavian interiors, it adds a touch of chic and luxury. Paint was used for the walls, diluting it with decorative paintings on the wall behind the sofa and in the hallway; wallpaper in the nursery; decorative plaster and fresco in the hostess's bedroom. In the bathroom, plain gray tiles were used, and the accent wall above the bathroom was decorated with tiles with a tropical pattern of palm trees. A similar plot can be seen on the mural in the hostess's bedroom and in the graphics in the living room. This was another wish of the owner, according to the author of the project, she did not want cold materials, and such a drawing just reminds of warm countries and vacations.
