Neutral pastel colors, warm wood texture and art objects became the basis of the new project of VAE design & architecture studio

This apartment in the center of Minsk was designed by the designers of VAE design & architecture studio for an adult couple whose children have been living separately for a long time. "The clients' daughter has been watching us on Instagram (an extremist organization banned in Russia) for more than a year and recommended us to her parents. After the first meeting, we realized that we were right for each other, because we look at many things the same way."

Customers dreamed of a bright, ergonomic and calm interior that will remain relevant for many years. "We have created a space where you can have fun with friends and relax in the evenings in front of the fireplace to your favorite music, while not changing anything in the atmosphere," says Evgeny Varkovich, head of the studio.

The apron is finished with ceramic granite Fokos, Laminam. There are tiles on the floor, Grand Cave grey, Tubadzin. The sliding dining table is made according to the sketches of the authors of the project. Chairs, Connubia.

"We have been attentive to all the wishes of the couple and have carefully worked out all the details. We chose the best options from the materials, focusing on the budget and taste of customers, so almost all proposals were answered with "yes!"".

"We wanted to keep a sense of spaciousness in all the spaces of the apartment. On an area of 70 sq. there is an entrance hall that flows smoothly into the living room, a kitchen–dining room, male and female bathrooms, a dressing room–pantry, a bedroom with its own separate dressing room and a small loggia where on a sunny day you can admire the views from the window and enjoy the warm sun."

"The bedroom is made in bright colors. It accommodates not only a bed, but also a hanging console, which also serves as a dressing table.  There is a glass showcase in the room where customers store their favorite books and souvenirs from their travels."

"Of course, it is impossible not to pay attention to the panel above the headboard. We sought to recreate the lunar texture, the regolith formed as a result of impacts of foreign cosmic bodies over billions of years. At the same time, the object not only performs a decorative function, but also serves as an original lamp."
