"I called this project "Minimalism for Hedonists. In my opinion, this characterizes the interior and its inhabitants as accurately as possible"

As a floor covering in the kitchen-living room, hallway and bedroom, the Belgian engineering board Par-ky, oak under oil in the layout "English Christmas tree" is used. The walls and ceilings are painted with American Benjamin Moore paint of increased wear resistance.

The interior was created for a young and active married couple working in the IT field. The main wish was to create a minimalistic and functional interior for two.
The open-plan apartment was rented by the developer without finishing. One of the advantages is a good orientation, with windows on two sides: north-west and south-east. I immediately noticed how natural light works in the apartment, and this became an important aspect for further plastic shaping.

The sofa of a free layout is made according to the sketches of the author of the project for the dimensions of the room. Next to the sofa is a table Stoik, Zapazuha. Floor lamp Superluna, Oluce. Carpet, Flexform.

When developing the layout, I focused on the concept of open space, with functional zones allocated in it. The "landscape" of the interior was designed by me with maximum capture of natural light. Each separate zone was solved by allocating large integral volumes and coordinating their scale.
The main idea of the project is to create a strict, restrained and graphic, but at the same time emotional and "biting" interior. As the main compositional techniques, I used proportioning, frames and colorblocks, as well as active color contrasts and graphic techniques.

Opposite the kitchen, on the opposite wall, there is a closed volume in the form of a glass cube with access from the work area. It combines the functions of an additional dressing room, storage of household accessories, laundry room, and also hides the TV and switching.

Minimalist interior design assumes that all furniture forms a single "landscape" of space, with an emphasis on the integrity and unity of the composition. Take at least the TV zone. We needed the TV not to stand out from the general background in any way. To realize this, we hid it in a glass volume in the living room. For this purpose, a special AGC glass was chosen, and the TV itself was mounted close behind it on brackets. Glass works as a "camouflage screen". When the TV is turned off, we do not see it due to the specifics of the glass, and when it is turned on, there is an image effect on the plane of the cube.

The working area is designed in the form of a console with drawers for documents. On the right above the console is a closed module with storage systems and integrated electrics for charging various gadgets. A chair in the work area Volt, Pedrali. Lamp, Vistosi.

I built the color palette of the interior according to the principle of contrasting combinations with the presence of a pronounced color dominant.
The main coloristic accent is a complex deep "papaya color", which was specially kneaded by me for this space. The search and selection of the right tone, lightness and saturation took several months. The found formula was used for tinting furniture enamel and wall paint.

It was decided to make the bedroom space as intimate and minimalistic as possible. The recreation area is designed as a base for an orthopedic mattress, equipped with storage systems for bedding. Bedside tables are located on both sides.

As additional colors, I used gray without a subtone and black "chameleon". For the contextual basis, I laid down a "signal" white color. This solution is used to enhance contrast connections and a pronounced reading of visual masses and individual colorblocks. The austerity of the interior is emphasized by thin graphic edging of individual zones. The combination of such techniques made it possible to enhance the feeling of the height of the room and form the desired scale of perception.

The paint with the effect of a black chameleon was chosen for the bedroom not by chance. The western orientation of the window in combination with this type of paint gives an extremely interesting effect during the day. As the position of the sun changes on a sunny day, you can observe the appearance of various color subtones on the wall: from purple to emerald. This creates an additional effect of the volume of the room.

All cabinet furniture in the interior was invented by me and made to order. I used Supramat AGT and painted MDF as the main materials. The Supramat material combines modern scratch and fingerprint protection technologies with the added advantage of thermal recovery.

I am glad that it was possible to fulfill the client's request and fully realize the idea from the point of view of the integrity and unity of the image. "Whiplash minimalism" is how I can formulate my feelings about this project.

During the development of the project, it was decided to leave the bathrooms separate.
