"The apartment was originally intended for rent, and the owner and I decided to come up with an image of a potential customer. He became a man who lives in the style of kinfolk, which implies a love of nature, simple forms and the ability to enjoy the moment among the bustle of the city. There is no expensive gloss in the interior, it is rather about roughness and slight negligence," says designer Elena Senkevich.

Natural shades of green forest and terracotta were chosen as color accents. The kitchen is made according to the sketches of the designer, ceramics of Belarusian masters.

"For this idea, we have changed the standard layout of a one-room apartment of 48 m2. The kitchen was moved to the place of the corridor, while slightly changing the configuration of the bathroom. Thus, we got a full bedroom and a living room with a dining area."

Knitted carpet, Belkin Home workshop.

"To preserve the natural light in the kitchen area, we used glass blocks. Their rhythmic pattern dictated the choice of square porcelain stoneware for finishing the apron, which made it possible to create a rhythmic transition from the lower part of the kitchen to the upper, while emphasizing the three-meter height of the ceiling. In the living room, this drawing is reflected in the form of a geometric ornament on the knitted carpet of the Belarusian workshop Belkin Home."

In the bedroom, all attention is focused on the accent wall with decorative paintings.

"In the bedroom, thanks to the painting on the wall, there is an atmosphere of serenity and sensual design. By the way, the customer met the artist who painted the wall by chance, picking her up by hitchhiking, returning home from a trip to Belarus. Thus, I think, the spirit of freedom, travel and an intuitive approach to life has penetrated into our interior."
