The owner of the apartment, Ekaterina, turned to Alexandra Burmistrova on the advice of her friend, for whom a few years ago the designer designed apartments in the same residential complex. "The main wish of the customer was to organize two full-fledged dressing rooms and an office. Otherwise, Ekaterina completely trusted me, saying that I am a professional and know my job," says the author of the project.

"I like to help others go through the path of creating space around themselves: to hear, to delve into, to understand needs, to look for the best solutions. We discussed for a long time how the customer's dream house should look like, and looked for ideas through references. As a result, we decided to create a light, fresh interior with elements of French style and references to Oriental culture — Ekaterina is fond of yoga and has traveled a lot in Bali."

For the decoration of the floor and furniture, the designer immediately chose a light wood, which creates a particularly cozy atmosphere. In the kitchen, wooden cabinets are harmoniously combined with facades in a gray matte finish and stone countertops. In the living room, most of the space was occupied by a corner sofa with metal legs and an armchair upholstered in leather and boucle fabric.

There is an office next to the living room. It is closed by sliding glass partitions that resemble shoji — traditional Japanese paper doors. In addition to the desk, there are cabinets and a pull-out sofa in case guests stay overnight.

The bedroom turned out to be as concise as possible. Its main decoration is round lamps framing the bed on both sides and filling the space with soft light. There is also a chest of drawers and cabinets in the room, which practically merge with the shade of the walls. All other storage spaces are located in the dressing room, hidden behind the pencil case door.

The color scheme of the interior is based on a combination of white, gray and shades of natural wood. However, in the design of bathrooms, the designer decided to add colors. In the main bathroom, the wall behind the sink is painted in terracotta, and the shower room is tiled with tropical plants. In the guest bathroom, the burgundy ceiling became an accent detail. A kind of connecting element between the bright technical rooms and the rest of the space are colorful paintings by Yaroslav Shein, who decorated the study and bedroom.

"The customer and I are very pleased with the overall result. It turned out so fresh and easy. The apartment resembles an apartment in New York. It seems that behind the curtains there is a view of Central Park," the designer adds.
