In an effort to move the owners of this house away from the hustle and bustle of the city, designer Anastasia Marchenkova relied on natural textures and bright colors

This house is located in the cottage village "ArtEco" on the New Riga. Initially, it was a box with connected communications and windows, which the designer Anastasia Marchenkova had to turn into a cozy space for living in nature. "I wanted to bring the wild living energy of natural textures and, of course, add juicy shades, which are sometimes so lacking in gray everyday life," says the author of the project.

"One of the main advantages of the house is the presence of a large number of windows, which allowed sunlight to enter even the bathrooms and dressing rooms. In general, all the rooms turned out to be quite spacious and bright, for example, the bedrooms came out on 20 and 30 sq.m. — this is the ideal size for a private house."

"I wanted customers to be able to leave the hustle and bustle of the city outside the door and feel unity with nature when entering the house. Natural materials helped us to achieve the desired effect. Each room is unique in this regard. For example, in the living room we are greeted by a fireplace lined with quartzite of a gray-blue shade. Nearby there is a kitchen with facades made of aged barn boards, which perfectly combines with bamboo wallpaper."

"We also used a barn board in the design of the master bedroom. Each fragment was installed separately, like a mosaic, forming an uneven "living" texture. The master bathroom is decorated with light marble with green flecks - this is the favorite color of the owners. A mirror in a shell frame attracts special attention."

"The next room, the son's bedroom, is designed in brighter orange-red shades, which give liveliness and playfulness to the interior. However, here we also actively worked with textures. For example, custom-made multi-colored cabinets include three types of finishes: soft boucle fabric, red matte lacquer and wood with a natural texture."

"When decorating the guest room, I decided to experiment by adding a little Mexican and Spanish motifs. They can be traced in prints on curtains, bedspreads and pillows. Also, bright ceramic lamps, which were made in the Moscow pottery workshop specifically for the project, give individuality to the interior."

"The first impression of the house is formed in the hall. Here guests are greeted by a full-length mirror and a "floating" console with a metal base that resembles intertwined branches."
