The owners of this house did not want to make a "wooden hut". As a result, a modern interior has turned out, so houses made of glued beams can also look like this.

Customers and tasks
The owners of this country house are a young family with two daughters. The family turned to designer Adelina Sharapova when the house was already ready. They wanted to design a comfortable and stylish interior. "A married couple of restaurant owners like to receive guests and cook outside. They didn't want to see a wooden hut. On the contrary, it was necessary to make a wooden house modern and minimalistic with elements of Scandinavian style," the author of the project comments on the tasks.

There were also specific wishes. For example, a functional kitchen island, where the whole family could cook during the day, and in the evenings parents could relax with friends. As well as the arrangement of the sauna, the owners like to spend time like this, and during construction they designed the possibility of arranging this area.

Layout
According to the original plan, a large kitchen-living room was predetermined in the center of the house. From it there is an exit to a private block: a common corridor combines a children's room, a master bedroom and a large bathroom with a shower. From the kitchen entrance to the guest room. In the entrance area there is a boiler room, a small guest bathroom and a sauna proper. A partition and a niche have been built to separate the sauna, and a shower and a locker room are organized in the rest of the space. The big advantage of this area is two large windows: both from the sauna and from the shower. They overlook the future garden.

Finishing
The finishing of the house was determined by the construction material glued timber. There is a lining on the ceiling. The wooden finish was covered with bleached oil to avoid a yellow tint and get closer to the cold scale of the Scandinavian style. A small section of the walls in the hallway (where the entrance to the sauna) is painted in a pleasant green shade.

Of course, for wall decoration in wet areas, tiles were used in the shower-locker room, in the bathroom of the owners. The floor is also tiled. This choice is due to the fact that a system of underfloor heating is laid throughout the house.

For finishing the sauna, an abash board was used, a tree common in Africa. It has low thermal conductivity, is resistant to moisture, does not emit resins.
Furniture and storage systems
Since this house is used by the owners as a dacha, that is, not for permanent residence, there was no need for dimensional storage systems.

We have thought out enough for basic needs: a closet in the hallway, wardrobes in the bedrooms, an open rack in the locker room-shower for towels (it is also a bench), a chest of drawers in the living room, cabinets for sinks in the bathroom (there are two of them, for ease of use).
The kitchen, as the owners wanted, was planned with the island. It turned out to be functional. There is a sink on it, a dishwasher and a wine cabinet inside. The main block of the kitchen is linear type with two column cabinets on the sides. This arrangement made it possible to abandon the upper row of cabinets and visually free up space.

Lighting
The lighting was designed so that different scenarios could be used. For example, in the kitchen-living room, the kitchen is illuminated by spotlights on a busbar, two large suspensions are placed above the dining table, and a suspension with a cozy textile lampshade is placed above the sofa. The same track as above the kitchen is located in the free zone of the living room, it is complemented by wall sconces. The bedrooms have ceiling chandeliers and bedside sconces. The bathrooms, hallway and changing room at the sauna are illuminated with spotlights. Soft lighting was designed in the sauna.

Adelina Sharapova Designer, author of the project
We didn't want to overload the house with decor, because its main focus is the view from the window of the Kama River. Therefore, the colors in the interior support the view from the windows, and the design itself is minimalistic, so that nothing distracts from enjoying nature and relaxing with your family.
