The customers did not choose a quiet area and a small apartment building by chance. Spouses work a lot, so an apartment for them is primarily a place to relax. They formulated their interior design wishes very succinctly — so that it would be beautiful and convenient. "We selected most of the furniture and decor from what was available so that customers could touch, try on and personally evaluate comfort and ergonomics," say the authors of the project, Evgenia Shokogoui and Rina Savelyeva.

The apartment is relatively small, so the designers paid special attention to the organization of storage spaces. In the hallway there is a closet of non-standard depth: in addition to clothes and shoes, it accommodates all household equipment, a server room and even a set of winter tires.

In the kitchen, designers have installed cabinets with a height of the entire wall. Facades hide not only a refrigerator, a dishwasher and a bar, but also all communication wiring — they were placed in a separate unit with convenient access. The countertop is combined with the window sill so that you can admire the view from the window while cooking.

Particular attention was paid not so much to the decor as to the quality of the textures, their tactile characteristics and the visual depth of the surfaces. "We repainted the doors twice until we got the right color. The paint for kitchen facades was "tried on" on the walls, as it was difficult to catch the right shade on a small sample. For the walls in the kitchen, they chose large—format porcelain stoneware, which feels like soft velour and changes its shade depending on the lighting and the angle of view," the designers say. As a result, all the rooms smoothly and gently flow into each other.

An unusual hobby of the hostess deserves special mention — collecting Guerlain perfumes. Fragile "exhibits" need coolness and the absence of direct sunlight. "I didn't want to completely hide the collection behind blind facades. So a cabinet with tinted doors appeared in the living room, behind which dozens of vials are stored — each with its own story," the designers say.

In order not to clutter up the already modest bedroom space, the designers designed a built-in wardrobe and painted the facades in the color of the walls. Turquoise, pale blue, light light green shades on the wallpaper are delicately quoted in textiles and decor. From the bedroom there is an exit to a small but spacious dressing room, where, among other things, the collection of silk handkerchiefs of the hostess is stored.

The only overtly bright accent in the entire apartment is the furniture in the bathroom: the sink and cabinet details are painted turquoise. The designers replaced the bathtub with a spacious shower with a pallet made to order in Germany. The storage system hides the washing machine and dryer, boiler, household chemicals, leaving enough space for changing clothes in the niche.
