Life is like a fairy tale! Lampshades-minarets, decorative carvings, ikat fabrics, Uzbek ceramics — traditional elements of the oriental house designer Margarita Mustafina took as the basis for the design of the Moscow apartment

"The style of the interior was determined by the customer — a young beautiful girl with her husband and daughter," says designer Margarita Mustafina. — The hostess wanted to see elements of Uzbek, oriental styles, as well as modern Provence in the apartment. In general, the interior should have turned out to be modern, light and without too much seriousness."

The layout of the apartment, located in an old brick house, generally suited the owners. The designer only slightly enlarged the bathroom and combined the balcony with the living room, due to which there was more space and light.

"For this project, we found very interesting ceramics made and painted by hand in the workshop of Alisher Nazirov," the designer continues. — We were lucky, because Alisher does not often visit Moscow with his works. "Especially for this living room, I came up with an oriental-style decorative grille, and the addition to it were custom-made high lampshades-"minarets" installed on factory table lamps. In general, there are many accents in the combined space of the living room and kitchen: a fireplace, a grill, a wall with plates, but they gently and harmoniously combine with each other, complementing each other."
